Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I'm actually nervous for Idris with the Mandela movie. His "Mandela voice" doesn't sound bad in the clip, but I've heard there were complaints about his voice/accent throughout the movie when a longer reel of footage was shown at Cannes however Naomie Harris got good reviews as Winnie in the same reel of footage.

well theres tera reid...and a shark tornado......and ahhh...tera reid

which is funny after listening to adam carolla talk about how celebrities fall off

on the fast and furious podcast lmao

I've heard from multiple critics on the radio and in reading that Pacfic Rim is supposed to be a kids movie. Like the 10-13 age. They advertised it like an action movie, but I guess it's intended for children and pre-teens? Can anyone confirm?

Finished Dexter Season 7. :eek

My only gripe with it is that Deb would never, ever do that. She would never off LaGuerta. No matter if she wanted to back Dex, she's not the type that would ever slay a cop for doing their job. Just pretty inconceivable.

What Dex did to Hannah McKay :hat

He never should have been dating her anyway. She went against everything his code stood for... I get that he was able to talk and discuss his kills with her, but she was killing good people still, like Sal Price the author.

Wondering where they're going to go from here... I really don't know. Haven't seen scenes or the first episode for Season 8.

Uhh. They're making an X-Force movie? Damn. :lol

I been away for a while, started a new job up in SSF, and haven't really had time to keep up. But I saw WWZ and Man of Steel within last few weeks. Ill post a bit later, but for the most part I was underwhelmed.

And what's with the fascination with Sharknado? Sounds like another Syfy garbage film.

^^^I think with Sharknado, it's one of those so bad/ridiculous it's cool kind of things. I mean, it stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering, so they were obviously going for campy awfulness and apparently succeeded.

Sharknado is intentionally bad, which is why it's good. It's SyFy, so that right there in the title means they can get away with the ridiculousness as long as they're making fun of themselves.

Might be interested in Orange is the New Black... but I gotta see a couple heads in here I respect champion it before I set aside time to do that. So many other shows to watch. Like The Bridge... which had a very solid first start.

What do folks think about Ray Donovan? Have the first two episodes downloaded, debating whether I should give it a shot.

Except there's like 200 of those same exact movies. Mega Shark VS Crocagator, Snakehead Terror, Dinocroc VS Supergator, etc. it's like some people just noticed them and suddenly think its cool?

Yeah I don't get that. Last summer SyFy had like a marathon of these types of movies.

Well, did all those other movies come out pre-Twitter? If so, that could be your answer. If not, I don't know what the deal is.

GI Joe Retaliation is EASILY one of the worst movies of 2013....

Also, thoroughly enjoyed "The Watch" I'm also a Ben Stiller stan so that might be why.
