I see where Kanye is going as far as the grammy talk. Yes he realizes that the Grammy's don't fully embrace hiphop & as an artist it would be really easy for him, Bey, rihanna, Hov, drake etc etc to not support and rather give their attention to other award shows that focus more on black music, the problem with that is that your now leaving out an entirely new culture & demographic that may not watch those black award shows. It goes back to his comments about separation & building the culture.
To many in music both black or white, hiphop or not the grammy's are seen as the biggest night in music, That idea isn't gonna change whether Kanye, B, Drake, Hov etc etc want to comply or not. So having no representations at the grammy's could possibly be a detriment more than it is a statement.
Also i think he explained very clearly basically what he has been saying for two years now about the fashion Industry. He Knows that he can influence and help change fashion for the better, however he needed other designers to work with him, he needed other companies that can help with enabling him as far as factories & materials and all the behind the scenes things.
He literally couldn't have done the line to the best of his imagination without the resources he has acquired in the past two years. So no i don't think he cares specifically if his designs are accepted by "Luxury designers" but he realizes that it's necessary that that these designers know that he's very capable of creating at a high level in their industry even if he isn't in the 1% of the fashion world.
Like he stated, prior to Yeesuz era he couldn't even get interviews with certain people, now he has a line of young A1 designers willing to work with him & not feel like their art will be compromised because adidas has given them the ability to design on a level that they could with any of the other big fashion houses.
