Just wish he'd tone the autotune a lil bit.

yeah that dude that spit for Ye on the street was trash. :lol

had my girl record both performances for me (on iPhone) since I was at work. :lol if they're not up soon on YouTube, lemme know, and i'll upload them.

He's right though... It's like Eminem constantly going after pop stars in his bars.

When these rappers going to start going after real dudes?

Easy to pick on the weak.

He's not right. Tupac spazzed all the time about everything. Tupac would have ran on stage.

Jay used to whine about Source ratings.

the whole "go after real dudes" argument is silly because what real dude is on their level. Name a situation where a "real dude" has ever beaten Kanye at anything.

Y'all don't even see the cultural implications of the Grammy academy constantly slighting artists of color then claiming their work wasn't good enough. People would have burned that ***** down if they gave Iggy the rap award so what do they do? Give it to the next best thing: Eminem. And his album was TRASH.

I'm a Beck fan and his new album is trash! Him winning this award is the same as Denzel winning for training day. Beck deserved trophies earlier in his career and got done dirty because he was the young hippie dude. This go round the academy gave him what they owed him 10-20 years ago and used it as an excuse to not reward Beyonce for what they viewed as a pop album.

Voters long since admitted they don't even listen to the music. They play the albums through once if that and that's it. They vote for names they recognize. Ye sees that and is calling it on its bull ****.

Why does it even matter? People, not even just on here, but people so badly wanna see Ye step to somebody real or "about that life", for what? To end up like Lil Jojo? Nah, not worth it.

It's all spectacle and entertainment. Let it be what it is.

I mean, Kanye spoke out on national TV and called the commander in chief a racist lol.

Then there's Kanye's history of refusing to hand over his publishing to Chi-town drug dealers talking bout "... kill me."

So I don't know what all this "try a real dude" **** is.

Co-sign.

I've seen the statistics on the makeup of the academy. 94% white, 86% over the age of 50 and a median age of 62. Not a single hip hop award got televised for the first time in 25 years. It makes sense why The Heist won over good kidd, m.A.A.D city. It makes sense why Eminem wins grammys by default even when his albums are trash. Even if it's not a race issue, which clearly is a part of it, the academy as whole doesn't even know how to listen to hip hop music. They don't understand what it is, what it means to people, and what it represents. They just vote on what they can relate to and we all know what that is clearly or they go with the popular pick. They don't care about hip hop.

And this is pure speculation on my part, but Ye has targeted Taylor and Beck because they won over Beyonce who is hip hop's biggest and most powerful ambassador at the Grammys so when she gets beaten out Ye takes offense to that and well....

I didn't mean I WANT to see him try to bully someone tougher. I don't care about that, I'm here for good music no pun intended.

I just meant, if someone like Eminem is going to try to diss people in his bars why doesn't he ever diss a rapper or someone on his level?
Mariah Carey? Lana Del Rey? Etc.

I just think that's weak...
If you're GOING to go after people then go hard and competitively challenge your own counter parts.
I know what Pac and them did, I'm not comparing this to that generation of real ness.

But you look at Kendrick and in a competitive way he challenged all his counterparts BY NAME to step their **** up.
It's what rap needed. No harm no foul just a sincere challenge.

You look at some dudes like Kanye and Em, they're constantly dissing clothing companies, pop stars, the media... Always frustrated by someone they know they can get away with "bullying"...

So I just meant if you are gonna try to be a tough guy (which I don't care if you do or not), at least have the guts to step to someone just as if not tougher than you, instead of people that obviously look petrified of you when you enter their space.

I'm not dissing Ye I'm just saying generally it's weak, for anyone to do. In the rap game or in real life.

I think Ye disses corporations and white saviors because in his eyes those are the only people holding him down. He's not going to diss another rapper goig through the same struggle he did/is. But Nike? In his eyes **** Nike. That's his competition. Not J Cole.

That year? No. Especially in hindsight.

In 1992? Absolutely. Maybeeee even in 1999.

No way in 92. Pacino was god level acting in Scent of a Woman.

Not sure about 99 because I never saw American Beauty. Hurricane was good, but not great.

Training Day was so different and out of left field for Denzel and he deserved it more than any of the other nominees (which were also good). He went from Remember the Titans a heartfelt family movie to being a sociopathic detective. He became Alonzo and not Denzel playing Alonzo.

Eitherway he is one of the greats.
