And I think this song is a prime example of what I said when Yeezus dropped. People always try to speak about music in finite terms but that's not how it works. It's going to be different to everyone.

Yeezus isn't trash. This song isn't trash. If you don't like it, you just don't like it. And if you love it, you love it. That's how art works. It's fine if you think the song sucks. It doesn't work for you. I walk through art exhibits all the time and shrug, while other people are breaking down in tears.

Let it be for you, what it is for you.

Nah man, some of us love Ye'. But we keep it real. This "song" is horrible IMHO. The message is great. The lyrics are dope. I love that having a daughter is making him feel so passionate and caring as a person. It's really inspiring.

I'm honestly very pleased and happy for him. It's obvious he's in a much better place so no hate on him at all. He's one of my all time favorite artists, EVER.

But musically.... This song is awful. That melody? Sounds like Nori playing around on fruit loops just making a random piano beat. That singing? :x ... IMHO

And this is coming from someone who LOVED 808s & Heartbreaks. (Idc about the hate that was amazing music).

He can do autotune better. He did it the right way on 808s. Great melodies, great passion, great words, great songs. Authentic pain.

This ****... Is just horribly simple with really bad off-beat singing.

It's okay to be objective guys... I'm a Ye' fan too. Blood on the Leaves was one of favorite songs of 2013, and the Yeezus Tour concert I went to was outstanding. I give props when they're do, I give fair criticism when it's due as well.

It's okay for some of you to do the same. Deep down inside you know this song is not "phenomenal."

You won't be playing it in 3 days, be real.
But... If you genuinely love the song, then all the power to you. Enjoy it. Like Naxo said above me, it's art. Some will like it, some won't. I ain't here to rain on your parade if you do.

Kanye can't sing. Lyrics are cool but I'm not moved by it. I would appreciate this song more if it was by someone that had the talent to perform it. It's that simple but because it's Kanye, it's deep and him showing how creative he can be. I've heard much better dedication songs to their mother's or children. Hey Mama is a much better song than this
