Without Jay, Ye would never be as big as he is. Fact. Without Ye, Jay post BP3 would not be as relevant as he is. Fact.  Without trvisXX neither Yeezus or MCHG may ever have existed so who knows how hot either of them would be today. Fact.

But who caresssss. Artists influence each other and play off each others styles and creations. It's always been like that over all time and through all mediums -- Painting, scultpure, design, music.

I don't know, I just find this debate boring.

No it isn't. All the overdone bass and Jamaican Samples was Travis. That crazy hectic, abrasive sound and art Yeezus embraced was Travis. That whole art school aesthetic they both rode in 2013 wasn't something the two of them just organically got into...

Right... A beat that he was given by the 15 year old amongst others because his sound and the project he was working on at the time was heavy in Jamaican sampled hip hop. Then he passed it to Jay.

That whole moody over done bass was something he was pushing heavy and those old heads were picking up on.  This isn't a secret... Jay and Ye's sounds are derivative of what's popular at the time.

Same reason Ye went and parked his *** in Paris. Because thats where EDM artists like Brodinski and Gessaefelstein were popping and he wanted their synths.

They jump on what they consider fresh. Ye went as far as to call Travis his "style adviser" around the time of Cruel Summer.
