What’s weird is that according to leaks last year, the game was initially going to be an expansion . I’m curious to know why they changed that and if that was more on MS or Activision. I only say MS because maybe by making into a full release title, it ensures that Sony gets their COD title per their current contract and MS can move forward with COD being Xbox first.

Heard the campaign is a ****show too both narratively and in terms of gameplay so that definitely is going to be fueling a lot of the negative reviews. It's clear that MWIII was the "premium add-on" for MWII that articles spoke of last year, and instead of being DLC its now a half baked standalone release. At this point Activision desperately needs to stop pumping out yearly Call of Duty games because since Modern Warfare 2019 it's only gotten worse, especially due to the unexpected success of Warzone and Activision wanting to capitalize off of it and microtransactions above all else.
