Movies have like $150-250M budgets, and think of their shelf life compared to say, how long it’s going to take to get to Red Dead Redemption 3 from RDR2.

It’s helpful to think of video games now as the next big comic book movie, even as frequent as COD titles come out.

I always recommend on first even the second play through of a map to just follow a story mission to get a feel for the layout of said map. After you “get it”, go crazy

300 million? Should be more, they could rake that kind of money in pretty fast if the next one is a solid MW entry… face facts… nobody likes anything other than Modern Warfare… everything else is garbage and the hype surrounding warzone 2… if it’s good out the gate it will do wild numbers.

Agreed for the most part. I miss those fun crazy weapon blueprints the first game had though.

343 put in hot patches yesterday for Infinite matchmaking.

Geo filtering is supposedly fixed / gone.
They did research into the desync and are saying it has to do with latency and updated MM to prioritize local games for more of a low ping match which should help.

Nah that’s high for a game. A European made game like horizon zero dawn was 50 mill not including marketing. Marketing is where alot of these budgets balloon

Also depends on the location. Expensive *** California studios make games more expensive

Aside from the biggest titles I never see much marketing whether it be TV, mobile ads, or otherwise. Like we get spammed with COD ads or PS5 commercials that feature Horizon Forbidden West, but most titles get little I anecdotally feel

So arceus is for certain people. Your going to be doing a lot of fetch quests and catching the same Pokémon multiple times. The goal is to fill out the Pokédex with research and just draft more stuff rinse and repeat. There’s hardly any trainer battles and it can get tedious. But I personally enjoy it

Also marketing nowadays is done by twitch and YouTube banner ads. Those are cheaper and just as effective.
