Help me understand why you would leave Mo at home and bring Robbie Rogers? I can't make any sense of that Edu is a far better player than Rogers.Originally Posted by deepinthajeep

Hopin Feilhaber breaks the starting lineup. Love the way that dude plays when he's on.
This is a pretty good summary of what he's doing lately
He scored two hat tricks: one in Week 8 against FC Dallas and one in Week 12 against the San Jose Earthquakes[sup][3][/sup], winning the MLS Player of the Week in both weeks.[sup][4][/sup] After his second hat trick, teammate David Beckham commented, "Edson is an individual who is getting better at the game. He's proved that tonight."[sup][5][/sup] After scoring his ninth goal against the Columbus Crew on June 22, 2008, coach Ruud Gullit said he had become a "true professional" and that he was "very pleased" with him.[sup][6][/sup]ESPN'sAndrea Canales noted that Buddle had once suffered from a reputation ofbeing "maddeningly lazy at times, giving up on passes that didn't fallin his striking-sweet zone," but that he had improved due to guidancefrom Beckham and an improved self-confidence as he scored more goals.[sup][5][/sup] MLS Extratime's Shep Messingsaid, "I don't think there's a better tandem up top than Landon Donovanand Edson Buddle...They complement each other. They don't take awayeach other's space, making it better for each other."[sup][7][/sup]
Buddle has recently been linked with a short term loan deal away from Los Angeles Galaxy. Blackburn Rovers have reportedly shown interest in bring him to the Premier League[sup][8][/sup].
He's definitely gotten hot recently. Still, he has very little international experience - will be interesting to see what he can show in camp. He has only one cap with the senior squad and it was in 2003.Would be a pretty incredible turn of events if he made the squad and was able to produce anything for us, I'm rooting for him - because frankly like most I don't like Ching or EJ, and I have no faith in Findley or Gomez to provide much.
My 7 cuts would be:
Gomez, Findley, Beasley, Edu, Bedoya, Pearce... and last is a toss-up for me. I'm okay with all the mids and forwards after those are removed, and i'd hate to remove another defensemen leaving us with just 7 to travel. So I'd probably have to get rid of either Sacha, Benny, or Robbie.. and out of those three Robbie is my favorite, but probably the odd man out. I'd personally get rid of Sacha I guess, but it's a tough call.
My 7 cuts are:
Bornstein
Rogers
Findley
Gomez
Kljestan
Marshall
Ching.....(well damn)
You know what, I'd rather have Beas there than Ching.
If I was you guys I wouldn't sleep on Heculez Gomez. He does the little things up front and hes a great passer.
Gomez>ej, findley, ching
Midfield is packed.
the 7 that wont make it
Kljestan-hasn't showed me nothing everytime hes in the usmnt
Rogers-maybe in he next world cup
Bedoya-sorry deep in the jeep. we are too deep in the midfield.
Bornstein- Like how Barkely puts it "turible"
Findley-Look at Kljestan
Ching-Too old and injury prone.
Marshall-doesn't convince me.
Besides that the only reason I think Buddle and Gomez should make the roster due to the fact that we are so thin up front.
I just hope both of their hot streaks can carry on to the world cup
