kinda thought this might be a good idea...i'm just kinda interested to see how many people here go there or went there.

if there's already a post like this then mods just delete this. could end upbeing a pretty useful thread especially if there ends up being quite a few of us.

lol.

i think i've vented about how bad it was, but this year i'm startin to get used to everything around here. the social life here still isn't allthat great, but it's not the worst.

Yeah, I was the most depressed I ever was while I was there. I graduated from there only seeing an academic adviser a total of 5 times. My biggest mistake wasnot planning for the future, I just got my degree and left that place because I was so unhappy there. I should have took the time to map out my life.

that place is REAL depressing, if you're a normal cool human being like george

it's a haven if you're an introverted geek

i'm somewhat of an introverted geek and i don't like thisplace that much, at least imo it's the extroverted full-on geeks that like this place

, i'm an engineer and there really are quite a few peoplethat make u go smh..haha

i do know some friends who live in muir who are really enjoying their life here....i can't lie; sometimes the whole "college is what u make ofit" thing is true...but if u apply that here, u really have to fake things a lot...
actually i think PART of it is that the university isn't really putting forth the effort to make the campus fun for undergrads. when u walk around and yousee all the expansion going on around campus, they're spending the money to make the campus feel like a damn business park, especially around WarrenMall....i'm sure you guys agree with me there. the thing with the football team; people say no one would go to the games (i heard we have more fans of theopposing team for bball games and it's mostly just parents

, withthe exception of spirit night etc), but honestly why would students go if the administration hasn't made an effort to make campus fun? all we have goin forus is Sun God; having these random concerts isn't going to help all that much. chancellor faux just sucks. this school feels like a business rather than auniversity, and i think it really rubs into the attitudes of students here.

edit-check out the crowd in this basketball game:

i don't go there but i went there last week during my college tours for my highschool. to me, it was a nice looking campus with all those random art piecesthat they have scattered around the campus but it wasn't for me.. i can't see myself going there. i believe that a student should really love theschool he or she is in in order for them to do really well.

^yeah...if u can't see urself goin there, then don't go here. if i had thought more in-depth about it i might have leaned toward going to UC Davisinstead.

preach on.....too many kids fall into the trap of going to this hyped out top 30 university and just find the campus + atmosphere to plain out suck

Went there for my freshman year in 00/01 as a math major. I went to Roosevelt College, and at the time our dorms were in those cabins, but I heard they movedthe Roosevelt campus elsewhere. I met alot of good friends there. I eventually ended up leaving and becoming a nurse from another college. It's a funschool, but alot of hard work.

Sun God was dope the year I went. I was hoping to make the trip to attend the next one; never happened though.
