Official Trinidad James Thread

Dude knows he's not spitting prolific lyrics. Knows his teeth are "just ****** up". Knows people are out there questioning his success. Yet he's still doing his thing. How can you knock that?

I'msayinthough.

I aint eem mad.

I'm not really hating on him just for the simple fact that he seems like a super humble guy just doing his thing. I fall in that elitist hip hop head category at times and I completely understand this is being force feed to the masses.

But people are hating on him and asap, gucci, jeezy, get passes? How is that possible their all trash rappers.

Really don't understand the hate for him at all. Dude is honest and humble.
This aint about honest and humble tho.  Theres alot of honest and humble people that can't rap and he's one.  Why is his whole "image" and gimmick being forced upon us?  Because he's a good dude? I doubt that.  Less style more substance is needed.  And I can't wait until he's signed and no longer "indie" so people can't stop believe what he's doing is possible without alot of help

I agree with you. The same thing could be said about Soulja Boy and Chief Keef. It only takes on song to blow up. He even said he's not worried about getting signed. Once you have major artists co-sign, his name gets bigger and bigger.

Soulja Boy grinded from the bottom.  He started on youtube wearing airbrush shirts and rubberband chains.  The kid marketed himself and many people forget hes a producer.  Not just a rapper.  he has some talent and you can see how he came up.

Chief Keef been had vids on YouTube and gained a following in the Chi and grindin w/ GBE
There was then a video on worldstar of a dude flippin **** when he got released from jail.
which made people go look at I Don't Like, Bang Bang, 300...then Back from the Dead got hot.
Then Kanye wanted to seem in touch w/ the Chi so he did a remix.
THEN he dropped Love Sosa + the violent climate of Chicago caused his music to be a sort of a soundtrack.

T. James just popped up...he even says so in his interview :lol

This is what bothers me. ****** can waste hundreds of words and vitriol on people they can't stand. How about focusing energy on stuff you actually like.

I ***** with a few songs by him, but bruh can't rap. For the most part I've steered clear of this thread, but if you don't like his music, just leave it alone. That can be applied in other facets of life too.

Did you really just put him in the same category as Gucci and Jeezy?

That's disrespectful. By no means are either the 2nd coming of Biggie, but both would rap circles around Trinidad.

I'm not sure about rapping circles, but yes jeezy is better but their both trash with below rap skills. My original point still stands, he's getting hate but mainstream rap in general is terrible so why all the backlash?

He's a equivalent to 2chainz, and if he gets some gets better beats he could easily surpass him.

2 chains was a serious artist before, he purposely remade himself as a cornball now and still has some cleverness once in a while.

and even though I'm not even motivated to hear Joe's last mixtape, you can really tell who is out of the loop by mentioning "Pump it up" to diss joe.
:rolleyes

did you forget that Shady 2.0 got damn near a standing ovation at the BET awards 2 years ago? :rolleyes

Because he's absolute bottom of the barrel trash. Seriously 50 Tyson is better than him. Just because music may not be great right now doesn't mean people should let cats with ZERO talent slide.

And Jeez is far from trash. Adjust your ears young buck.

getting daps cause of a cypher =/= a hit record

dropping a handful of critically acclammed mixtapes > 1 hit record
I don't think he's only had 1 hit record, but if you do, it's still not the point, that's not how anyone that listens to hip hop should categorize him.
just means you've been sleeping on hiphop and repeating what other people are saying.

Or it means I don't like HIM (& his attention *****/ cry baby ways) or his BORING music.

But everybody doesn't have to like the same sh*t. ;)
