Official Travis Scott x Jordan Thread ...

Personally I would rather see new stuff. How many 1 lows are they gonna drop? Now we’re getting two similar looking pink based pairs at the same time after getting a bunch of similar looking iterations of mocha/olive. This is why Nike is falling off. The same old thing over and over and over. Do something else.

To their credit the did release the field jaxx and jumpman jacks to very littler fan fair. I actually like the field jaxx a lot and they blow the jumpman jacks out the water in terms of quality and comfort. But I think JB and Travis missed their chance to sell any shoe at scale that isn’t a Jordan 1. Travis doesn’t have the pull anymore and when he did they made they made the shoes impossible to get.

They also did the air trainers and those tanked. His original models just do not hit with the general audience. The Jumpman jacks did at first then later colorways started dropping in hype.

Personally I love the JJ and the FJ. But the trainers are unwearable uncomfortable for me. (And kinda a bad design.)

They could have did another AJ 4 or 6 but like the poster said above Trav has kinda passed his influence window. Older Gen Z are in their late 20’s early 30’s now. He's pretty much the AJ 1 low guy now until his contract is over

As a later gen z who turned 18 earlier this year, I like jordan 1 lows. They serve it's porpoise

It's a thousand Nike's for you to pick from, that's not the reason.

I feel that! Of course there are exceptions. Are you a Travis fan? I work with kids your age, and they don’t seemed moved by Travis Scott or AJ 1’s like we were 7-8 years ago. None of them want the lows, and we get a discount lol.

It’s crazy to think that the AJ 4 cactus jack came out 8 years ago 😵‍💫 man time is flying

pretty much this. ive said it before but this, just like other things, is JB/Nike and Travis mismanaging the hype. You can't make the business model "no body gets this shoe for retail" and expect people to form long term attachments. some level of hype is needed to generate demand but at some point folks are just going to move on. And team travis had a hand in this directly. his team has the highest volume of stock per release and they hold back stock and backdoor at inflated prices to manipulate the market on every single release. Theres too many examples of this. Selling thousands of his air max's to goat. shenanigans with the travis scott dunks where they held back massive amounts of special box dunks for like 2 years and then liquidated when the market was highest. it got to the point where it was actually a toss up between which pair was cheaper. they back doored the frag 2.0s in bulk for $1200 a pair and now theyre dumping pairs in the $600s because the market wasnt about it. soo much funny business that ultimately kept shoes out of the hands of people that would allow the ride to go even longer.

i always point to adidas and yeezy as the right way to handle hype if you want it to last and if ye didnt go crazy yeezy 350 v2 would be as common as the air force 1. and they did it at at $220 retail which is wild to think about

I definitely agree with people moving on because of all the backdooring shenanigans that was going on. I also think it has a lot to do with the economy and how nobody wants to fork over high resell when there's potential that it comes down over time. Looking at the frag 2.0 and even the Trophy Room 1's. If I hit for retail, awesome; if not, I'm moving on and not paying resell.

The yeezy hype was peak for sure. They handled it the right way, but it definitely started becoming less hyped as they kept dropping tons of cw's and hella high stock. Once the masses were wearing em left and right, people didn't want em anymore. This was all before he went crazy too.

Aahhhhh yes , your monthly "Ima monogamous 18 year old grandfather of 3 with 7 wives , my weight is 397 LBS and I measure 4' 3" , my foot size is 17 but I can do a 10.5 on a good day" post by frank mucus frank mucus ......gotta love NT

4'3? That's a dwarf! I'm 5'3! 397 is also fat. I've cut down since I stopped powerlifting and focused on my basketball career and right now I'm at a lean 324 lbs.

but isnt that the ultimate goal? adidas had regular dads and moms wearing $225 sock sneakers which is crazy to think about. They might not have been hyped in enthusiasts spaces anymore but they successfully went main stream. Whats even the point if there is no meaningful space to grow as a sneaker line? They cant release jordan 1s forver and the fact that I can still check out on my raffle win link for the green jumpman jacks from over a month ago is proof that folks are just going to buy anything.

A new Travis Scott 4 would most definitely reinvigorate the collab again - especially with the new shape of the 4s.
They really gave the people Field Jaxx and Cactus Jacks before another AJ4. :smh:

how many 4s would he drop before we are having the same conversatin though?

Undftd 4's brought me back out of retirement but missed out on release day, finally gave in and picked up a pair last week but still had the itch for another pair that caught my eye. Olive is my favorite color and these are the least expensive over the other travis lows. Copped from fb marketplace, had my eye on them for a while so i shot an offer to the seller to pick up next day and surprisingly he accepted (listed for $580 offered $500) which is the most I've spent on any shoes and had them legit checked after but I trusted they were real. I appreciate these and glad to have them, might wait until my birthday in September to unds but will probably give in before then lol

Bonus, went to sneaker resell shop and saw this on the rack in my size and got it way before i was planning on getting the shoes the next day so def meant to be
