Official Travis Scott x Jordan Thread ...

Personally as a dad, I would never take my child to an outdoor event like astroworld. Mostly, because it not a controlled crowed and the amount of drugs that is used in these type of venues.

My kid wanted to see Billie Ellish at Governor ball in NYC and while I almost gave in, I decided not to take them. My decision was based on my experience in attending in the past, seeing people passed out and all, it was not something I wanted my child to experience.

Now if the event was like in MSG or a stadium, I probably would.

I got told no all the time as a kid. Can I go? No.

and have you seen clips of his concerts? Much less the subject matter.
I'm sure we all did. Different day and age now(only say this because it seems everyone is flowing with money).

Astroworld wasn't on my mind until this incident.

Dave chapelle and kanye are proof that cancel culture is bs. Did u see ye on drink Champs?
Smaller artists. Yea. Chappelle, ye, travis? No.
I think the specifics of the supposedly “cancellable offenses” determines everything. People are upset and wanting to “cancel” Dave for stuff he said during and within subjective and creative profession of stand up, and even then it’s pretty subjective. There were many angry, but just as many that had no issues with what he said. Kanye said the slavery was a choice stuff, and kicking it with Trump. Many were angry, but we all know some agreed with some of the stuff he was saying, and him hanging with Trump in reality gained him some new fans.

Let it come out that Dave and Kanye are about that Louis C.K. life, or doing other sexual misconduct-ty stuff (and actually having people speak out against them as victims of their actions), or proof/evidence showing them being outright and legitimately hateful towards gay and trans people in their everyday lives, and they’ll PROMPTLY get shown the exits. These are the things I think are the REAL ACTIONS that get people for real cancelled.

knowing people have died at astroworld before……

knowing what type of concert and drugs go down…. its not a disney concert.

that parent is a moron. 9 years old? lol.

whats next? an 8 year old beaten in a mosh at a slipknot show?!?!

” how dare they hurt that 8 year old just trying to enjoy life!!!”

ts shoes are dropping in value tho lol

Is either statement above even true?

my bad. nobody has “died” there have been tramplings, paralyzations, and he has been arrested for inciting riots for demanding rage from fans lol

. youre right. nobody had DIED before. 9 year olds welcome! lol.

and the TS Jordan 6 Brittish Khaki sz13 has dropped almost $50 in value since then. so that i know 100% to be true.

lol at "doesn't matter who the performer is", of course it matters. Thats who attracts what type of crowd comes to the concert and what type of crowd determines if its a safe enough or age appropriate concert.

You telling me The Lion King concert is equally as dangerous as a Travis Scott concert?

Considering Travis' content and apparent promotion of drug use and lawlessness who signed off on the Fortnite and Nike collaborations :lol I thought highest in the room was a simple weed reference.

Well Drake and Kanye are literally two of the most revolutionary artists in their respective artistic spaces so it would take A LOT to see them getting cancelled. I’d say the closest we’ve come to someone on that level being cancelled is with Cosby, and even then, it was clear people turned their heads away from his behavior for literally decades, given how talented he was. Hell, there is a good chance that Michael Jackson diddled children but people still turned a blind eye to him when he was alive because of how talented he was and how massive his artistic achievements were.

Do you have kids?

It's not someone elses responsibility for keeping your kids safe, it's yours. That goes for seen and unforeseen threats

Hush dude, I am 41 years old, 3 kids. Is it the parents fault when you have a active shooter at school, what about when a drunk driver hits your car? You absolutely cannot keep your kids safe 100% of the time, it also takes others being responsible and assuming some responsibility for their actions. People don't die at concerts, this man didn't think him taking his son to see a show would include them getting crushed to death. 10 people died, but 1000s walked out just fine. He broke no laws, it's a concert for goodness sake.

Still doesn't change the fact that people don't die at concerts. I have been to dozens of them, from Cash Money to Usher. Not one single person was killed, not even shot...in Detroit. You just a hype, trying to make sure your shoes stay hyped

These corporate sponsorships are the reason there were 9 year olds at the concert. Has nothing to do with irresponsible parents.
What do you mean? Did some Corporae big wig provide the tickets? The parent is responsible for the child. That's how this works. At that age, the parent controls what that kid sees, hears, and goes to.

Way more people have died in plane crashes. Are parents irresponsible for taking kids on planes? How about taking them for a ride in a car?

I have no issue with the parent taking the kid to the concert. All up front and near the pit? I wouldn't, and he probably regrets it, but he was probably taking his kid to see his favorite artist and trying to make his kid happy. I have a hard time faulting him for that. At no point should a parent have to plan for his kid to possibly die at a concert.

The corporate sponsorships made him extremely popular with young kids. Nike, McDonald's, and Fortnite all target a young audience.

How many 40 yo are aware of this tho?
I'm 40 and I listen to travis. In a party setting, turning up with ladies, travis and pi'erre bourne are the vibes. That said, I'd never take my 8 or 11 year old sons to a travis concert or any concert by artists i listen to. Although kids listen to travis, probably bc of fortnite and jordan, it's adult music. The concepts and themes aren't for children.

Being 40 in '21 is a bit different from 40 year olds when we were kids. We are much younger old ppl in our generation, if that makes sense. Travis is not solely to blame for this, although he does have blood on his hands as well. In college, i was listening to 3-6 mafia bc i loved the frequency of the beats/production. Travis is the '21 hypnotize mindz from a production standpoint. Also, he has perfected autotune. From a sonic standpoint, travis is pretty much at the very top of the game. His production is so perfect, it doesn't even really matter how he raps or what he's saying.
