Official Travis Scott x Jordan Thread ...

Seen a tweet like that but there’s a specific event that went down in vegas that’s linked to this. Not sure what but it rubbed them they wrong eay.

They gonna have to hold on to him. Unless they got another rapper down the line that could do sales like Travis, like Ye. But Ye’s too much of a loose canon.

He has been waiting his whole life for this one shot...this one opportunity

From what I’ve read, Travis and his team hasn’t been moving in a ways that Nike likes. Like D_eezus D_eezus said, there’s something about a Vegas event that took place. But also apparently Nike feels like the Travis team is taking advatage of the brand.

Also apparently the shoes Travis gave out for the all
White party over the summer were not Nike products/sku’s and Nike didn’t give a thumbs up to be produced. People at the brand weren’t happy about it. Amongst other things.

Personally I don’t think Travis is doing much for the brand now anyways. His particular model might sell out but the flow down appeal to other isn’t there anymore. The mocha lows that dropped recently is pretty evident of that I’d think.

i think if he’s out, his line would eventually fall off like how adidas yzy stuff is at the moment

I don’t know what the Vegas event was, but Nike would be idiotic to throw away all that easy money and hype. Even if they don’t like him. Also, they would have just dumped a ton of money into designing and creating molds / lasts for a new signature shoe that they’re just gonna toss? I doubt.

Nike just put him in a new ad. I can see them renegotiating another deal. 2025 is probably just when the deal he has now expires. We will see.

If hes out there wont be a line to fall off after 2025 anyway

i have no idea what the dollars look like on the nike side, but the radiating impact he's had is pretty much non existent now. Hes a great embassador for his own colorways on his own shoes and not much else. folks arent buying jordan 1s, Jordan 4s, Jordan 6s or any model hes put colorways on off the strength of these releases anymore. and since hes been releasing shoes with nike in 2018 we MIGHT have a little more than 1-2 Jordan 11 holiday releases worth of stock. And thats across every shoe hes released under the collab. the association with him was probably worth more than the sales dollars they made off of the shoes.

They definitely didnt. The highest levels at JB were pissed.

Deeper than that and thats all I can say

Is this turbulence the reason for those supposed skus that were canceled over the summer? (If you can speak on it)

I know they would never answer this in an official capacity but in a time where Nike is catching a lot of heat cause of leadership changes and stock/earnings performance, it probably doesn’t help to have one of their highest profile partnerships more focussed on back room deals with resellers and reseller platforms than being an active ambassador for the brand.

Nah. Those skus weren’t supposed to be public. So you cant really cancel something that doesn’t officially exist if you catch my drift
