OFFICIAL TRAVEL GUIDE: JAPAN

Finally got some free time to post pics. Forewarning there are A LOT of pics in this spoiler. I just copy and pasted big groups of pictures because I was not taking the time to go through all of these individually so I apologize if some of the pics seem random and pointless :rollin I'm not a great photographer either and just snap whatever. This was trip 1. Beijing, Seoul, DMZ, Hong Kong. I have a bunch of pics from another trip as well I will upload if I get a chance. Will try to caption some of these pics later also

How would you rank the cities/countries?

Pretty bias towards HK as I was only in Beijing and Seoul for a week each. With that said Seoul > Beijing. Beijing was a really grimey city. #1 at McDonalds is fish filet and 8 year olds are smoking cigarettes everywhere while political leaders see high class escorts at 4 star hotels every night (where I stayed). It's a different feeling being there. You feel more free in Seoul. Facebook was blocked in China while I was there as well as a bunch of other sites.

This East coast snow storm better not cancel or delay my flight... Last thing I want lol

Nice pics, Hen. Camt wait to go myself, next spring.

Check out Ocean Park especially if you're bringing your little one with you. I have a bunch of pics from my second trip I have yet to post. The day I went there was a lot of fun.

Have fun at the Hot Toys store ;)

If you like saltwater fish/aquariums I'd still highly recommend going. They have some fun rides, but the aquarium was the main attraction for me. I've never seen so much dope coral and exotic fish and big sharks anywhere else.

Yeah, that's something I'd definitely check out. Gonna try to take as many pics as I can of the scenery out there.

Nice man can't wait to see your pics when you get back. I'm getting out of work early today so I'm going to post some more pics when I get home shortly.

I will post some pics of Macau, Ocean Park, NYE 2012, and some more completely random pictures :rollin

Trip 2. Again, 56K warning

So the first trip was my study abroad I was there for 5 months. Went with only $2.5k and was broke for the last month. Thankfully my girl held me down. Second trip was two weeks just for fun and I threw down $4k my girl spent $6k. I enjoyed myself more in these two weeks than the whole 5 months before. Just shows HK can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be.

Damn Henny you're making me plan my next trip as we speak , was thinking about heading to Barcelona again but damn HK look nice & I have a bad case of yellow fever .

I just booked a trip to Tokyo for May 13-22

My girl took care of me while I was going through cancer treatment, and this is one of the things I want to do to repay her.

She lived and worked in Tokyo for 7 years but has not been back in ten years.

She knows all of the spots to go to, so i am just along for the ride.

I am excited!!!

Just got to Japan today..ramen is amazing but the chicks tho..... Damn

Have fun! Japan is awesome. Going back there later in the year to attend the WEC 6 Hours of Fuji endurance race. :smokin

Make sure to try some good sushi at Tsukiji and try the local beef. :smokin

If you're into electronics and/or toys, Akihabara is a great place to visit. Camera prices are very competitive, especially with the tax refunds and Visa credit card discounts at some of the big stores. Shinjuku has a lot of electronic stores as well.

Man.. What a trip it was...will be updating with some photos and a write up regarding my experience....

How are they looking [emoji]128064[/emoji] Got a bad case of yellow fever .
BAD! its frown upon if they reveal or exposed their upper body..shoulders, arms etc...(wearing tank tops, vnecks etc) but showing legs is acceptable...so everyday when I was in the train during rush hour...it seemed like every chick was dressed for the club...heels and mini skirts..the whole sha bang!..

plus...escorts is only $200 and its negotiable lol

Fam thanks for bumping the thread. I read every page but didn't look at all those pics from hennessy hennessy :p

My girl and I booked a ticket this weekend (caught it for $486 RT with a direct flight outta Chicago). I couldn't pass it up.

We will be there for 10 days. May 1-11th (really the 2nd-11th since we lose a day).

We booked our AIRbnb last night and will be staying in the Roppongi area. It looks like its about a 15 min train ride to Shibuya which is fine with me.

I need any tips you guys wanna share. I am black and this is my first time in Japan. I wanna see as much as possible. Already looking at excursions to Mt. Fuji and Hakone.

I want to see Kyoto as well if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find activities etc?

I planned on only bringing around 1K but it looks like I will need more from what you guys are saying?
