There are a series of hilariously delusional ads on Kijiji featuring Outlet finds(not going to say which, 'cause it'll end up just promoting the ads) purchased on special promotion weeks (like the last 40% off promo) that have unreasonably dumb asking prices, so I do think this thread does help-out resellers, but it's ultimately up to the buyer to do the research and know the value of the sneakers you're buying. Still makes me mad though.

Like any public forum, there are tons of lurkers -- that's why I'm sometimes hesitate to post information on here.  But I overall learn more from the thread than I lose, so I post whatever information I have.

Part of me can't knock the hustle of the outlet resellers -- after all, almost all profit is made off imperfect information (the buyer doesn't know they can buy it for cheaper elsewhere) and they are selling for under retail while still making a profit.  But these guys really f*ck the game up - buy outlet finds when they go on sale, try to sell and then return back anything they don't sell -- AFTER THE SALE IS OVER -- so the rest of us can't buy.  That's why I always get suspicious whenever someone asks if they can return a shoe.

Wish more stores had final sale for launch / final discount kicks - removes the safety net from resellers.

Yea Nike return policy is too easy. I think Nike should put a limit on how pair of shoes you can buy especially during sales because a normal person doesn't need 5 pairs of lebrons in 5 different sizes. They should have the right to refuse selling to those people. It doesn't help them too when that person comes back to return the shoes within 30 days.

And that's why I'm hesitant to mention anything at all if I have any interest. The past few months have been a perfect example. One or two folks mention interest in a certain item, then other follow who never had interest, which attracts those with no intention but trying to make $$$$$.

the only thing more annoying than resellers are those ppl who try to sell their 'worn once' shoes for 'slightly' below retail. either learn to keep your shoes DS if you want to resell, or don't wear them!

you should be at minimum discounting 30%+ off, because I don't buy anything BNIB that's not >25% off retail!!

Those new Free Run 5.0's released today are 109.99 ($20 under retail) at SVP. They actually improved the material, fit and comfort on these from previous models.

I work part time at Sportschek just for something extra on the weekend. I can look up stocks and locations in the system, which is what I do half my shifts. As much as I love sharing within this community, I do keep a lot of stuff to myself, and pass on some little information as I see needed. The thirst and hunger is at an all time high, there are no rules anymore and it's like the wild wild west out here. Seems like there are more resellers then buyers these days. Ppl doing it for a dollar and not for the love. I'm almost starting to hate the toronto sneaker scene. Every drop is becoming a hassle. I respect all of the ppl in this thread who still do it for the love.

Yup, like any public forum, you post a hot sighting and sure a few people who actually want the item get it, but there's always going to a group of people only looking to profit. It's unfortunate but it's impossible to stop. Any action taken might deter some resellers, but it can also hurt legitimate buyers. For example, I'm part of another message board (unrelated to sneakers) and there's a group of people who e-mail eachother for sightings before posting on the boards. It's great for those on the list, but it creates an elitist attitude and shuts out those who aren't part of the "select few" on the list.

Reselling is expected whenever there's profit to be made. It sucks for collectors but I understand why some do it and I don't blame them to a degree. I draw the line of acceptance at 2 pairs. Buying one to keep and another to sell is no different then buying an extra to keep DS or to trade. Either way, it has the same effect of taking an additional pair off the retail market. My gripe is when someone buys out stock, going home with 5 pairs for example. To me, that's where it goes from "okay I understand" to instead "okay I still understand why you do it but you're an ***."

Heh - love how everyone is using '5 pairs' as an example - think everyone is thinking about that dude the posted 5 pairs of LeBron Elite Crimson Xs on RFD/Kijiji after the outlets slashed the prices.

Definitely would have scooped a pair for fun (don't dig the look, but man, the Xs are comfy) at the discount -- so I was little pissed when VM sold out in my size and the reseller had my size.

It's quite sad that for the sneaker demand in Toronto, there's few reliable places especially for like limited releases like the Jordan x nike sb's or even a simple release for the Jordan 1 Barons.

Hope another Nike TO opens soon!

Coming to TO from Vancouver tomorrow for about 5 days. Going to check out the normal spots.

I find it quite difficult to use Kijiji compared to Craigslist. The search results are all over the place...

lol didn't even know the outlets put Lebron Elites X's for cheap...

nobody posted it here haha

but sometime after i went to VM and sales guy told me he had lebron elites in back, but none were my size. never ever had seen them OUT in the store before that. don't know if i should be upset about the guys who buy 5 pairs or the employees/store mgr who dont' put them out!
