anyone else pick up the SDCC Eastman & Laird 2 pack? sold out in 5 minutes. i was in and out in under a minute though by pre logging.

I was on board until I saw the price tag. I've been a neca tmnt guy since the toon line started but last fall I stopped buying everything since they started doing deep cuts. I remember a stand alone was like 26 now they're 38. I dipped out after the van lol

did anyone every explain why the original turtle action figures had different shades of green? Dony was always the darkest (army green) one and Mickey was always the lightest.

I could be wrong but I don’t recall there ever being a specific reason they were different shades of green. If anything I think it had to do with making the colored bandannas and gear pop some.

yea i don't think it was ever really explained. my only thought is like with the cartoon giving them individual colored bandanas, they wanted kids to be able to further differentiate the turtles. also in that time there was no collaboration between Fred Wolf Films (who produced the show) and Playmates. originally Playmates wasn't interested in doing a toy based on TMNT because at the time it was seen as having a small cult following. they wanted them to produce a cartoon series first which after the first 5 episodes they saw it was a hit and shortly after announced the 88 toy line that was in the works. which is why designs on most of the characters are different between the show and toy line.

I really want to get an NES along with the OG TMNT game and beat that game once and for all. Been seeing memes on Twitter about my generation not being able to beat that game. Stirring up old feelings.
