Exactly! I actively collect outdoor wear like arcteryx and some plain ol Jane leaf gortex joints go for over 1k but it uses gortex Kantana which is what military and law enforcement use so it’s worth the price. Vanson piece is not meant to last long unless you don’t wash it but even still the waterproof will wear off on all gortex jackets after a few wears and you have wash, reapply dwr and put it in the dryer to activate it again. Don’t think you can do that with leather trims. They def used one of the cheaper gortex membrane. Nice jacket tho.

Correct. I own a few Arcteryx Leaf jackets and pants myself. They are mostly Gen 1 stuff when you could purchase them without have LEO/military ID. I've even purchased a few from the Arcteryx outlet in Woodbury Commons in NY for maybe $200-$300 a piece. That was a great purchase back then.

Don’t think you can even get a decent used leaf for those prices anymore unless connected or have military/law enforcement family and friends. Great buy.
