there is a world outside of new york...
even though i was in school in nyc in the early 2000s right down the street from supreme, i didn't know about the brand until i found hypebeast and the hypebeast forums in 2005/2006. And even though it had been around for over 10 years at that point, it was still an IYKYK thing (like the entire streetwear scene was).
tyler didn't single handledly make supreme what it is right now, but seeing odd future all over tumblr, youtube, TV shows, whatever in supreme having the time of their lives definitely influenced a lot of kids and amplified the brand and accelerated its growth. like there were only 2 supreme stores in the US and a handful in japan...now there's a bunch across the US and one in almost every major city around the world.

I have a 42 year old wife that will cut you for saying this.
But seriously, Swift is about as good of a role model as we can hope for for young girls to look up to. Much of it may be PR, but she presents herself as a good human. She's unapologetic in supporting women and calling out gender discrepancies in all fields. I actively encourage my daughter's fandom. Hell
