The material above the Messi name should be mesh like.
I have both the home (Messi) and away (DiMaria) of those 2014 kits and they both have mesh on the back shoulders section.

I actually find that the opposite is happening. Kit manufacturers are offering more long sleeve options now than before. Most brands used to only offer replica/stadium versions in long sleeves but you can now get authentic long sleeves.

Nike has been terrible in general when it comes to footie.. go right now on their site and barely any of their kits are available.... neither is printing..
