:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

Ive worn my aqua 8's only about 2 times now.....no more than 10hrs combined. The other day i noticed almost a "hair line fracture esk" crackgoing through the midsole. This seems to be the first sign that these are going to crack and get worse the more i wear em. It's not bad now.... im worriedmore down the road it getting worse. Any suggestions on what i can do now to prevent from getting worse. Is there any kind of clear solution i can apply overit? I was thinking a "angelus finisher"....im not familiar with any of them. Would that help? Thanks

I know this question gets asked alot thats why I just asked for the link, thanks!
you're right about this question being asked a lot. i've lost count on how many times i've instructed people for using bkf. so here goonce again. first, get the bkf and either a rag or small towel or a toothbrush. you can use either one to help apply the bkf mixture, but the easiest one isthe toothbrush. now get the bkf and mix it with some water. now here's the key to this, make sure you make a paste with the water and bkf. if it's toodry, add a little more water. if it's too watery, add some more bkf. now get the paste and put it on the toothbrush and begin to brush this paste into themesh of the concords. depending on how dingy your shoes are will tell you how much you need to apply to get it white again. this shouldn't take too long, about a couple of minutes. after your done brushing the shoes, get the rag or towel and get it wet. use the wet towel to remove any bkf that might be left onthe shoes. let the shoes air dry for a couple of hours. you should see a big improvement from before. hope this helps you.

! as far as shades for the paints, all you need is white angelus paint and firered angelus paint. no mixing needed to achieve the shades you desire. i don't think michael's carries angelus paint but i could be wrong. if they do,tell me so i can buy my paints there next time instead of ordering them.

when you say 'crack' i hope you mean the paint and not the midsoles. too new of a shoe for this crap to happend to. you got to remember that the paintquality of the aqua viii's were horrible so you shouldn't be shocked this is happending to your pair. this will get worse with each wearing. you couldadd a clear solution or acrylic finish to the painted areas to help preserve the paint from getting worse. angelus does make an acrylic finsiher for paintedareas and this stuff does work great. just make sure the area being treated is cleaned before applying. just use a paint brush and apply. let it dry and thenre-apply another coat if it is desired.

I'm planning to cop the DMP V. I know the Vs have the yellowing problem on the soles so how do I keep them icey? any other tips to maintain the Vs?

Just copped the Toro Bravo 5's for $110, heard they bleed so what are some things i can do to keep this from happening? They are DS and I heard that if youspray a couple coats of water repellent on them then it will prevent the bleeding. Info is much appreciated.

on the fire red 3's the rubber around the toebox is yellow..anything i can do to turn it close to white again?

water repellent sounds like a good idea. bleeding is also natural with that material....

you can try
-lightly sanding with fine grit paper
-seaglow
-or sand it down and then repaint...i suggest #1 and then 2 but only if you have seaglow around...
