looking good! nice pick up as well. how does the sole look?
Basic cleaning does wonders, recently picked up some 95 OG Bred 11's for $90. Quick little comparison.
One cleaned, other uncleaned.

Bit of heel drag in the back, little bit on the front traction pods. More paint fading than actual traction pods disappearing, but that's also due to the drag/wear.

There's nothing really to fix it, but what you can do is try to make it less noticeable. First I would get rid of all those lose strings, etc. Then you could paint over the rip/hole with some dull black paint to cover it. Kinda hard to see how the exact rip/hole looks like with all those loose strings there. How would I fix this rip in my foams:
And how to fix the yellowing so I can make them icy again
If I were you, I would try to make a patch, similar to how you would patch a hole in a pair of jeans. Take a peice of fabric/denim, put it on the inside of the hole with barge cement or e6000, and try to make the hole smaller and less noticeableHow would I fix this rip in my foams:

I was wearing thinner socks before, but wearing them without the insole has been making a difference so far. Thanks!
Try removing the insole and wear them even more. Try wearing socks that are not as thick.
Yea its just partial seperation around the toe. I heard about blick but never been there. Gonna go down to get what I need from them. ThanksI'm not sure about full sole separation (as if you were going to do a sole swap), but if it's just a partial sole separation, use E6000 glue. To keep it tight while drying, I just use art tape (that blue tape that artists use to prevent bleeding of paint/dyes/etc). Honestly though, regular masking tape will work if they are leather. I'd definitely spend the extra dollar for the blue kind if it's a nubuck Jordan V.
I notice that you are in Philly...I live in Philly too. Blick, on 13th and Chestnut, sells all the supplies you will need to repair the sole separation and the people that work there are pretty knowledgeable. They helped me repair about 6 pair of shoes a year or so ago.
not bad for 18yr old shoes. right foot seems to have more wear, but yea...the OG's traction pod would fade and be more translucent after it's worn down. mine the upper didn't look as good due to crease after 18 yrs, but sole was in better shape. sold them recently for $110.

Just try salon care 40..everyone gets different results. Just dont leave out in sun too long as then youll get sole/mids seperation, a trick to that is get a ziplock bag with ice and sit in shoe..make sure its shut and thatll help keep soles coolHow do I go about cleaning/resting gamma 11 soles? Should I use Salon care 4G creme and oxygen clean?
if they were only around smoke for few hours, id just leave them alone. it should go away.Anyone know how to get the cigarette smell out of kicks was hanging around some heavy smokers last night.
Theres a method using a steamer to remove the creases of the midsole; however the crease will just come back with the first step you take again. Not really beneficial unless you reselling them
How to get of the creases on the back and side on the right shoe?
Use a Q-tip and some black Angelus paint and just lightly dap it onto the areas that need touching up, and then just swirl the paint around so it begins to blend in with the surrounding paint. What's good or a good method to touch up 2012 Taxi XII midsoles?
That's a lot of wasted time. It's very very simple to reglue shoes, and it's very practical. Don't need to do all that other stuff. Just literally glue the shoe back together.
Hi All
Got a Brand New pair of Nike SB ZOOM FC DB from 2004
The glue seems to have dried up and i'm getting outsole separation from the midsole, mainly on the right heel.
To fix, I was thinking of hitting the existing glue with a hair dryer and scouring off as much of it as I could
Then carefully paint the midsole with shoe goo and clamp the sole back on.
I have no experience making this type of repair, most I've ever done before was shoe goo'ing a panel back on skate shoes, or rebuilding the flat spots on some vulcanized vans soles.
Anything wrong with my plan?
Look at the vids I posted above, but here are some more. Different shoes, but apply similar concept. It's minor separation on the sole on these bred 13 2004, how can u fix these??
Just clean off the dust/dirt and all the other stuff on the bottom of the soles with a rinse of water or with some cleaning. Try to remove all the pebbles, gum, etc. Just do the best you can to make sure the bottom is clear. How do I go about cleaning/resting gamma 11 soles? Not a big fan of the steamer unless it's on flat leather. I would try something like this (results may vary):

Thanks for the advice. I need a clean surface to put the new glue down on, so removing the old glue was essential imo, and the sole was falling off all over so I figure better to do the entire thing than try again later when it fails. That's a lot of wasted time. NOTE: You DO NOT need to remove the entire outsole, but just follow the tutorials. Apply glue to the separated parts, then clamp them together with something. I often use shoe laces like in the vid since they're easy accessible. A glue I would recommend is barge cement or e6000.
