you dont have to have a sunny day for them to work, the suns UVA and UVB rays go through clouds which is why you can still get a sunburn when it is overcast so in actuality overcast days are the best for retrobrite sessions since the heat is minimal, just watch out for rain and such.I really would like to but seems like this is as good as it gets lol plus this week not looking good to be sunny
nah it will work fine, plus if you want to do indoor method its not that bad if you get full spectrum bulbs for growing plants indoors. they give plants life which is what the sun does so it will work almost as good and if you use the LED bulbs the produce very little heat so it is a perfect match especially for 8 hour sessionsAppreciate the info I knew it can work just didn't think it would be as effective
No, both midsoles are still flexible and the shoes are worn but in good overall condition. These are two pairs of AM1, one from 2010 and the other one from 2011 I believe. Is the actual midsole starting to crumble? Never seen anything like that on a 4 year old shoe
Man these donors are hard to get apart lol.
Those are Jordan flight '13s.
I've been using a hair dryer. I used to have a heat gun, but it somehow disappeared. That would be really handy right now. Lol. What shoes are you swapping?Mine too. I meant heat gun or blow dryer? I just turn my heat gun up to about 850 and keep it moving in a small area of the outsole and it was enough to loosen them pretty easily.

If the midsole is not crumbling/soft, firm and still wearable, then just reglue it and continue to wear it. Separation happens, it's not that big of a deal. Different shoes, but apply a similar concept.[/IMG][/IMG]
Alright I have a few dilemmas with these. I don't know if I should just reglue the toe caps and wear them or just tear off the entire midsole..
The cracks and separation happened after I wore them for the first time but everything else is intact and thhe midsoles are still firm and glue still held in all the other areas.
Besides that, in the last pic the toebox on the right is deteriorated while the other one is fine, I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this or prevent further deterioration on that shoe?
The baby oil will likely solve that issue. Thanks for your response I will do that. The only thing I am slightly hesitant about is the baby oil thing, the deteriorated shoe has lost the feeling of that nubuck material on the toebox. I feel like it's fragile so I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this or a similar situation before I go ahead and try it?
