Ritz whitener and brightener with oxy clean add some dawn liquid soap and mix them on a hot/warm water.... scrub with tooth brush on circular motion, then leave the solution on for 10-20 min then rinse. Repeat 2x. Works wonder.... Also try to avoid the leather due to chemical of oxy clean and ritz...

Can you report back on how well Jason Markk does on the Cool Grey 11 suede. I try not get any liquid on that nubuck because it stains like crazy. I currently have no stains after dozens of wear

Will do ill pick it up Saturday when I get off work. There is a sneaker store near my job that has it

anyone ever try Loctite glue? its for vinyl fabric and plastic but you can also use it for rubber leather wood etc .. i couldnt find e600 or barge cement at my local home depot so i just grabbed this ..

Picked these up to restore should be interesting seeing as the toecap was painted white :{ the sole was also painted whcih was worn off. they diidnt even take the time to at least remove the dirt from under the shoe before it was painted, just painted right over the dirt lol

I'm trying to decide if I want the jason mark or the Lincoln ez cleaner for my cool gray xi. Both look like they will do a good job. I may go with the jason mark only cause I can use it on more surfaces.

Make sure you use the premium j Markk brush or a soft bristle brush

Well a little elbow grease worked to help fade the scuff a little but the paper towel kind of gave it a green tint to it smh. Would Acetone work?

UPDATE

Don't use acetone! Go to Walmart or your supermarket to get Goo Gone! Damp the paper towel with it and wipe gently. They will come off in no time.

Got a question for you guys that dealt with semi separated soles on the Xi. Should I separate the sole complete before gluing or should I just glue it??

My OG blk/red XI just fell apart when I wore it again after 6 yrs. same area on both shoe.

Seperate the entire sole first. If you just patch it up in that one spot they will seperate everywhere else then you will have to do it over again.

sounds like a plan. thanks.

just inspect it a little more as well, the mid-sole in some area is separating with the upper as well.

had these for 18 years. definitely showing age. lol

btw, what kind of consistency is the E6000 glue? might head out and grab some later.

I have some fading on my white midsole on a pair of am1s. Debating whether I should just remove a majority of the midsole with acetone and repaint it with angelus paint or just leave it. How long does it take for painted midsoles to start cracking with casual wear?

So.....I just finished washing a pair of Royal 1's I got in a good traded. I knew this shoe needed work but had no idea how tiring cleaning a shoe can be. The soles had grass, dirt, rocks, snot, you name it and thats what was on the bottoms. Used scrubbing bubbles for the bottoms and they took all the dirt and grime right off with a little bit of elbow grease. Insoles were showing everything you would see in a vacuum bag so I washed those in a water filled bucket with dish soap and a scrub. If these weren't Royal 1's I wouldn't care as much but it makes me think how often should I maintain this shoe or any of my shoes in rotation this summer. Then again, I don't think i'll ever get them as dirty to begin with.

E6000 is very thick, might help if you get something to help you spread it out evenly. I would personally glue the entire flat area at once if possible, then do all the edges a few days later. Make sure you have the tools to hold it down firmly.

Alright, thanks. I think as long as it is not shoe goo thick I should be able to manage, was having trouble with shoe goo because it dried too quick and was so thick it was hard to spread them evenly.

Do you guys give your DS pairs any treatment every now and then?

Thinking that I should give those leather DS pairs some polishing so they dont go bad after a while.

Any recommended products?

Thanks

Is normal for the suede on 2011 black metallic 5's to crack and delaminate like this on the toe creases? This pair is otherwise in good condition and by no means "beaters" in any other sense.

I have air bubbles in my patent leather after a bad sole lighting session. Anyone have an idea on how to get them out?

personally i wouldn't worry about them, but then again i'm only sitting on 3 DS pair as i wear them all.

can't say the same for cheap shoe leather, but for car leather such as connolly or napa leather, you can buy some premium leather cream to keep them moist. the only warning is not to get these cream into the sewlines.
