correct....the lining is much thicker, and personally the toe box is a little bit more narrow because of this.

Lol. No one is paying over retail. If you purchase outside the US the price is higher because of taxes and duties. Not anyones fault but your own for sleeping.

If you live in 1 country and an item costs, lets say, $130 and you could get that item in a 2nd country and it'd cost you $150, based on money conversion and such, then based on the value of money in your country you just paid over retail. Not that big of a deal, but that's exactly what happened.
