He’s in SF? Background of that shot looks like Richmond or sunset district of sf…

He waiting around hoping against hope they don’t cut him before camp or what?

I would love to know what happened with Aiyuk to cause the fallout. Like what exactly he felt slighted over, if it was hard feelings from the contract negotiations or whatever else.

Aside from him being in Kyle’s doghouse his rookie year or so, there was never any issues with him prior to the contract dispute in 2024.

What blows my mind though is that there’s been players who make Aiyuk look like a Boy Scout with how they went about things when they didn’t want to play for a team anymore. But they almost always put it out there that they wanted to and were ready to play for any other team that acquired him.

It really feels like he’s content with whatever guaranteed $$ he’s made, he’s ok with whatever he lost and maybe if money gets low he’ll want to play again someday.

I don’t think anyone knows except Aiyuk. I’m pretty sure John and Kyle don’t even know or maybe have an idea but he’s been MIA

The fact that he didn’t even try contesting it with the very friendly players association speaks volumes

Bro just went ghost. Stopped replying to calls texts emails anything. No showed on rehab /

You answered your own question. He’s been in and out of the doghouse for a good chunk of his tenure with the team. He’s basically the football equivalent of Kuminga with Steve Kerr. He’s hardly even aligned with Shanny in terms of expectation so he was wasn’t used as a 3 down receiver often and then the injuries started piling and made the situation worse.

Schefter reporting that a few teams have reached out to him and he hasn’t answered or responded

"And I think the reason a team's not trading for him right now is they don't want to assume the current contract that he has, and so it's a situation where he hasn't been in clear, constant communication with the Niners, they've had a hard time getting ahold of him. Other teams, I think, have attempted to reach out, they've had a hard time getting ahold of him."
...
"But the issue is, teams don't want to trade for that contract, and they don't want to trade for that contract when they can't even discuss it with Brandon Aiyuk.

 if true

To be petty if I'm the Niners, I’m not releasing him until the last minute before I have to pay him.

If I'm aiyuk and petty, I wouldnt give the niners a chance to trade me and get something back in return.

Which I think is playing itself out.

Appreciate BA for what he did here, especially an awesome All Pro season, but he deserves no favors at this point

I’m all for players getting their money and holding out if needed, but the way he’s gone about things even after doing just that is concerning and dumb as hell. Maybe he’s content

No need to do him or any other team a favor by releasing him any time soon

My thing is aside from his rookie year I don’t recall any other issues being out there in the open until all his holdout shenanigans. Kyle Shanahan thought highly enough about him to push for any potential trades to not happen and get that deal done. Obviously he’s a good player so that helps his cause. But if he was some major headcase I doubt he would’ve intervened like that.

I’ll always remember that helmet catch on our way to a comebyke win vs the Lions

it’s gotta be bigger than something with the team for him to be out of shape like that. he la gotta have people in his corner giving him all the wrong advice. looks like he’s done with football though

i've been thinking something similar. his situation is weird though. people compare him to antonio brown, but antonio brown is actually a bad crappy person where his actions have caused people harm outside of football. aiyuk has just done dumb stuff that's been harmful to himself more than anything. the worst thing he's done was speed by the facility driving reckless and ghost people but for as annoying as this whole saga has been, he hasn't really done anything wrong aside from stuff that's messing up his bag. I would think his agent would be telling him to chill, but most likely other people in his circle have more influence over him.

idk about people in his corner or what but he's really high on himself thinking he's a superstar or a rapper and he's spending at a rate he can't possibly hope to keep up with, especially with, what was it 30$ mil already voided in guarantees?

between all the jewelry and cars this mf gonna be broke and on the news for pulling some maingy **** in no time. while still active he unironically had gameday weekends where he bought more cars than caught touchdowns.

bros garage and jewelry will cost more than WSH going to offer for his new contract, and the depreciation on that **** is brutal

the 9ers gonna cut him the summer right before training camp so he has as little time as possible to get into football shape and get up to speed with a new offense. from there he's gonna be on a historical level of "prove-it" contract somewhere like WSH or CLE.

My question is, where is his agent? You're telling me not even his agent(s) can't get a hold of him? If that's the case, I think he's done with football.

I can't say he's upset about the contract negotiations, because he got the money he wanted. All the reports led to him being unsure where he wanted to go prior to signing his new deal and then he changed his mind the last minute and re-signed with SF.

Ey wassup yall anyone know if the low Ryder car show is in the mission this weekend or did it pass already?
