Can’t say I went into this game thinking we’d get a dub nor can I really take a whole lot from the game with those specific players out but the tackling (again) was so poor, before the stat padding late Love was 10/20 for 120 in the 4th quarter…but we continue to get punked big time in the running game.

It used to just be James Conner  but now its seemingly everyone is breaking that first tackle with ease and/or falling forward for another 2 or 3 every single run and Id argue effort has a lot to do with that. 1 on 1’s are tough but feel like it’s a half *** effort swarming to the ball as well. Just seem slow

Edit— i absolutely need more looks from Mason and Guerrendo as well. I get it, it’s CMC but there’s no reason, especially after this recent injury that they don’t deserve (honestly a decent chunk) of the shares back there. That one I really don’t understand and do have an issue with

It really just doesn't make sense for Kyle to use CMC 95% of the offensive drives when he missed the first 8 games of the season. Especially when Mason was of the top rushers in the league at one point. Hopefully one of you Kyle defenders can make it make sense.
i also don't know how anyone can watch this game and not see that Kyle seems to have lost the locker room. Dudes just don't seem motivated or interested. 20 missed tackles is atrocious and embarrassing. Penalties everywhere....dudes just seem to not give a damn and are playing with little to no pride

We lost without some of the best players in the league playing, including the quarter back, what the **** were some of you guys expecting?

Let’s blow it up and go back to them Tomsula and Chip Kelly years after weve gone to a few NFCC and Super Bowls, great times. Great coaches are surely just chillin out there for us :pimp:

-respectfully of course, shanny defender.

More excuses for Kyle. Missing great players has nothing to do with the lack of motivation and discipline especially when most of your great players have played all season.. It isn't just this game, these issues have been existing the entire season. ST has been at the bottom of the league all season. Penalties have killed the 49ers all season. Offense has been iffy all season. Defense has been trash all season. Oline has been trash all season

It’s not that you’re expected to best Green Bay AT LAMBEAU with key guys out.

It’s HOW Kyle’s 49ers played/lost that’s telling to me.

All fingers point to Shanahan

And now we see how bad life is without Purdy. If 49ers are smart, they better find a way to lock Purdy into a contract unless they want to go back to the dark days of Tomsula and Chip Kelly.

I actually do agree with a lot here but I just disagree where your blame is seemingly all being placed

I aint gona argue cause i’m good on that and also don’t wana tell how people how to be a fan. Just..odd

Unfortunately when a team underperforms, the head coach is always the blame. No way around it, especially when it doesn't seem like adjustments are being made.

All that being said, I dont think Shanny is the entire issue but he definitely can be better on his end and what he actually controls. If you went into this game expecting a W then more power to you but..yeah yikes. Wonder if we have some sort of expectation for a backup or 3rd string QB’s to now come in and play wel— you know what nevermind

Moving on. Hopefully we get some good news on those injuries from the guys we were missing this week. Purdy and Bosa are needed to make any sort of run, or maybe Shanny needs to play better on defense or special teams or not holding

Also, nfc west is still dangling right in front of us. I aint trippin if we get relatively healthy. Brocks an obvious one but need Trent and Bosa as well

I didn't expect to win this game. I did expect them to look like professionals and not unengaged or unmotivated.

Kyle has had a bad year clearly. No way to defend that.

I’m still not firing him but the seat is getting hotter. If they do end up missing the playoffs, and struggle at the start of next year, I’d look to move on at that point.

The league has clearly figured out his scheme. Guys just aren’t getting open like they use to. I’d give him the offseason to see if he can adjust, if not, it’s a wrap.

I hope he’d be open to an OC.

Certainly not all the blame is placed on Kyle. It wouldn’t be fair to say that.

But most of the blame imo is on the coach and his staff.

They are underachieving, injuries notwithstanding

Don’t count me in with the crowd that have their pitchforks and torches ready for Kyle’s head. There are quite a few of us in here that expected this season to be a letdown. It’s easy for us to be armchair coaches and say the team needs to be prepared every week. But that’s a vague notion that only scratches the surface.

- They’re physically and mentally exhausted. Not hoisting the Lombardi has these guys going through the motions.
- Greenlaw is sorely missed.
- Trent and Aiyuk held out and showed up at the end of the preseason out of shape. I don’t think it’s fully understood by fans how weekly practices and such actually go.
- Monday is light workout, film study, and recovery. Tuesday is off day. Wednesdays and Thursdays are full practice. Friday is light practice. Saturday is walkthrough.
- Holding out has had negative physical impacts on Bosa, Trent, and Aiyuk these last two seasons. You cannot use the season to get into shape, it doesn’t work.
- Our free agent signings are awful. Campbell, Yiadom, and Floyd especially. They’re constantly getting beat and/or missing tackles. I know they’re not core guys but JFC they’re bad.
- Lynch did a terrible job addressing the glaring needs we all saw at the end of last season.
- We needed a better backup QB than Brandon Allen. “It’s an opportunity.” Yes, it was. You won’t get another (hopefully).
