my boy who works as a NFL scout assistant just texted raving about this dude. first thing he said was "kam chancellor 2.0"

i trust his word.

interesting.

that's promising at least

We coulda grabbed a LB then get that dude the next round, honestly don't know what Baalke is thinking unless he got some scouting we don't know about

Out of all the safety prospects this year, the one guy with the token "Kam Chancellor" comparison is Jaquiski Tartt, SS out of tiny Samford. You can see the size comparisons, standing at 6-foot-1, 225 pounds he's a load to contend with. Is he a fit for the Giants? You bet. Let's take a look:
Pros
- Already mentioned his size. Has the athleticism to play at that size.

- Powerful hitter and fundamental tackler

- Instinctive and can react well

- Decisive player that plays confidently and aggressively

- Good range and ability to move laterally
Cons
- Tight hips make it difficult for him to hold up in man coverage

- Not sure if I've seen enough to make me comfortable putting him single high

- Has had lapses in coverage, sometimes has trouble judging depth

bruh that first hit out in the flat at @:14

i like this pick more than our 1st rounder lol. sounds like the eagles would have taken him if we didnt.

STRENGTHS

An old-school hitter with impact potential, Jaquiski  Tartt  is a monster at strong safety. He has ideal NFL  size and length (6'1", 221 lbs), and he has the closing speed to be a force on the ball.Tartt  was consistently the best player on the field at Samford  and stood out as a guy who deserved to be at a much higher level. He impressed at the Senior Bowl and showed improvement throughout the week as he was exposed to NFL coaching. He's a tough player and a natural competitor. On the field, he's an attacker who looks at the ball as belonging to him. Tartt  plays with clean, hard angles and lives around the ball.

WEAKNESSES

Coverage is still an issue for Tartt, who ends up playing like a linebacker more than safety at times. He has experience in multiple coverages but is the last guy moving on film too often and likes to ball-watch. He's a raw player and will need to adapt quickly to NFL coaching in technique and read-and-react skills.
the kam chancellor comparison is ubiquitous

haha i didn't know who tartt was because of him coming from a small school, but the more i look into him, the more excited i get. more pumped about this pick than our 1st.
They lose confidence in Eric Reid or Jimmie ward?
Reid has recurring concussions, and Bethea wont be around much longer.

damn that boy can lay down the hammer :eek

like his ability to tackle 1-on-1 in the open field, not sure if his hits are gonna draw flags in the NFL though :{

:lol i was just about to say the same thing in my post above. graham gonna go over the middle and end up having his soul taken. ginger's probably taking notes on VD's tapes

For masculinity purposes let's call homie by first name. jauquiski sounds suave.

I want Danielle Hunter DE from LSU if he's still on the board when we pick all world potential like Aaron Lynch
