Opinions on Denzel Perryman aka the black Chris Borland? :lol :hat

one of my favorite players in this year's draft

he essentially has the same question marks that Borland had coming into the draft... if we can snag him in the 2nd round and we get the same result ill be happy

Any chance they go CB in the draft? I like the physical attributes of Jalen Collins, his skills are still raw but he can become a monster CB with a little bit of time

yes, absolutely. i had marcus peters in my last mock.

however, personally i feel better about our CB group than our ILB group right now.

SHAQ THOMPSON? What's good, Trent?
i think shaq thompson is not a fit in our scheme as a ILB and is better suited for a 4-3. dude is a little too light, long and lean to be a inside 3-4 backer.

Sheesh...

Just seeing this Borland news, thought it was a joking rumors at 1st. Can't knock his decision, gotta look out fir you and your fan first...

Sucks that PWilly retired for him to take his spot, and then son retires a week later :lol

Still think this team will be fine next year.

May need to draft shaq Thompson as a rover or lurk safety. Just to have another playmaker on defense.

Hahaha was that the preseason

Answered my own question once I looked and saw Dahl and Lemonier getting burn.

I know l may catch a bunch of negative responses to this, but I feel like I have to speak my opinion. (And I am going to preface this by saying that I absolutely DO understand how serious concussions are).

But.....

......I do not respect Chris Borland's decision in the slightest bit. This is some real p***y s**t.

CB does NOT have a history of concussions. CB did NOT just learn about the dangers of football recently. To basically skip out on a team that invested a high draft pick on him is ridiculous IMO. CB had to have been thinking about this for a long time. He didnt JUST come to the realization that he could get hurt. Why enter the draft if you are scared of getting hurt?

Like I said, it was a real b***h move by CB to leave his team high and dry because he was scared.

*flame suit on and dont really care*
i back this

willis retired, borland quit.

as long as bow is captain of this defense, we're still gonna be top 5.. even with his effeminate penmanship

Reread the post I made last night after the Borland decision.

Still feel the same way.

Can't blame Borland for what he did, although I do think it's an overreaction unless he was already showing symptoms. By the time you make it to the league you've probably played a good 10-15 years of ball, and him retiring now doesn't gurantee he won't show signs down the road. But at the end of the day he's gonna do what he feels is best for him. Tough pill to swallow with what's transpired recently but gotta move on.

Perryman would be a great pickup in the second round. while I had been hoping we picked up a CB early, we need an ILB

I agree wholeheartedly with BOTH posts.

Whether you want to call it a retirement or quitting the one thing we can say is Borland's heart wasn't in it. If your heart isn't in it that's a good (or bad, depending on your view) way to get hurt.
