The Warriors purchased land at Mission Rock. They could've beat them to it but nooooooo.Where would they put a new stadium bro.
I mean....sure the Niners could have. But you realize how much more room a football stadium needs than a basketball arena right? The Warriors purchased land at Mission Rock. They could've beat them to it but nooooooo.Where would they put a new stadium bro.
This! I have family who lives near there and they say so much is happening/on the table/on the board that they are waiting to cash out decades later on the real estate. It's literally a gold mine. The Warriors purchased land at Mission Rock. They could've beat them to it but nooooooo.
Of course I do, but they could have had a joint partnership with the Giants like they have now with Great America and the surrounding businesses and I'm sure they could have made it work.I mean....sure the Niners could have. lisa.... would you smash or not?
Cleanup would've been a lot to spend on but a naval shipyard is federal land so the funds for the project would not have been out of the SF taxpayer pockets, but rather the entire country if I'm not mistaken. Makes sense why Gavin Newsom wanted them there, keep the team and protect the city at the same time.None of that is relevant when the local politicians have their own agenda. Gavin wanted the stadium at the old, toxic, hunters point naval shipyard.

Insider Buzz: 49ers Won't Fire GM Trent Baalke; Trust in Him to Improve Roster
Ready for the Chip Kelly-back-to-college chatter? 49ers could have an opening
You are going to hear a ton about San Francisco 49ers coach Chip Kelly returning to college football in the coming weeks. A ton.
Especially as boosters at top NCAA programs start putting feelers out all over the place. You'll hear rumors about Jon Gruden and possibly Sean Payton as well (yes, even after just signing that long-term extension). With schools like LSU and Texasand Oregon and Penn State all possibly in that mix, it's going to heat up soon.
Kelly's offense continues to be ridiculed by his peers in the NFL, and several coaches I spoke to expect him to hit the eject seat button after this season and return to college before his stock continues to drop given the horrible roster he has in San Francisco.
"He just keeps running the same **** and it isn't fooling anybody," one NFL executive said. "Do you think they could bring him back to Oregon?"
Also, if Penn State falters, I'd expect the school to make a strong approach toSteelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak, a prominent alumnus and former NFL head coach. Seems like a good fit to me.
Fire Chip and staff.
Replace Jed with Eddie D.
Bring back Harbaugh.
Make sure Greg Roman stays away.
Trade for Jimmy G.
