The week started at Seattle -9.5

If the line is still there then yes, withdraw everything from your 401k and IRA and throw it on 49ers +9.5
Careful my brother turnovers occur and that close game all of a sudden gets out of hand.

I'll prolly play Niners ML tho for 70 prolly pay 250 or so I believe.

we may not win a lot of games this season, but this season could potentially set us up to go into the future with a lot of momentum and a solid foundation. chip shows he's grown as a football coach and leader of men, kap brings about social awareness and jed joins in to make a substantial donation, baalke's core of young players take the next step forward, the locker room is tight knight in solidarity, etc. We could end the season on a positive note and go into next season riding the momentum.

i think this sunday is a big game. an upset on sunday, and you build a **** ton of confidence in that young locker room. if we want to turn that corner next season, you have to flash here and there by winning the games you're not supposed to.

Just gotta keep wearing down that Seattle O Line, and limit those turnovers.. I can see us coming out of Seattle 14-10.

The hoodie is the GOAT in all of sports.

The fact that he went out on a limb to defend and vouch for Chip--a coach who is not from his coaching tree--last year after he was fired was pretty significant to me. There's no greater stamp of approval in all of sports.

And Brown has started the season in strong fashion, too. In 81 pass plays, Brown has yet to allow a sack or a quarterback hit. He has been responsible for just one quarterback pressure, according to Pro Football Focus
Brown's improvement brings him closer to 'high ceiling'
SANTA CLARA -- During his time away from the game, Anthony Davis promised to return and be the best right tackle in the NFL.

As it turned out, he was not even the best right tackle on the 49ers.

Trent Brown, a seventh-round pick in 2015 who started just two games as a rookie, suddenly emerged during training camp as the no-questions-asked starter. Listed at 6 foot 8, 355 pounds, Brown came to the 49ers with good size, unusually nimble feet and a lot of potential. He is turning that potential into reality.

“He has not scratched the surface in terms of how good he can be,” 49ers coach Chip Kelly said. “That’s the exciting thing about him, because he has such a high ceiling. But you continue to see the little teeny things and the little and teeny improvements that go on on a weekly basis.”

Brown played so well during two practices against the Denver Broncos in training camp that evenSuper Bowl MVP Von Miller raved about him  in a conversation with teammate DeMarcus Ware. Davis, who was diagnosed with a concussion last Thursday, opened the season on the sideline as Brown’s backup.

And Brown has started the season in strong fashion, too. In 81 pass plays, Brown has yet to allow a sack or a quarterback hit. He has been responsible for just one quarterback pressure, according toPro Football Focus.

“I think Trent’s been really good in our first two games,” Kelly said. “Obviously, it’s really his first two games with us and his chance in a new system, but I think he’s adapted really well to what we’re doing. I think he’s been equally good in both run blocking and pass blocking.

“He continues to get better on a weekly basis and we’re really excited about what trajectory he’s headed on right now.”

In two games against the best defensive fronts in the NFL, Trent Brown has only allowed one QB pressure

Not to be a negative nancy but the thing that bugs me about that stat is how bad our QB play has been considering how good our O-Line has looked.

With an o line playing pass protection as good as ours there is no way a competent starting QB should be 39 for 71 passing like B-Geezy is. He's batting 0.549 on completions with a stud o-line protecting him. Even worse he's thrown 3 TDs and 2 INTS for 413 yards... Not a good look.

Sorry to sound slow/stupid and if this is obvious but this does mean that the 2 sacks on BG occurred when Brown was off the field correct? If so, that's a good look for him and a bad look for his backup.

Marcus Martin came in for Andrew Tiller at right guard, and gave up a sack on that one snap he was filling in for.

I don't remember the second sack.

The O-line has played well, but one of the reasons they haven't given up many sacks against those two dominant fronts is due to Gabbert getting rid of the ball quickly--too quickly at times.

We'll have to see how it goes. At the end of the day, we are a team without a franchise quarterback, and we're just trying to make chicken salad out of chicken **** in an offense that is entirely new.
