I honestly thought Spillman would have made it over Ventrone. Assuming Ventrone isnt cut later today.

Osgood I'm a little worried about good ST player but they did this last season cut him and then brought him back in after week 1. His salary isn't guaranteed by cutting him saving money but risking him for other teams to swoop. Not shocked by Spillman he had a bad preseason he's replaceable, but like Osgood I can see him coming back if ST struggles and no one signs him. 49ers are pretty much trying to keep their young players from hitting waivers potentially being signed see Marcus Cooper like last season.

I wonder go they think Bruce should get the reps though over Osgood. Hopefully no teams swoop. I wonder if there's anyway to throw smokescreens nowadays. I guess it's impossible

Yeah they chose Kyle Nelson over him, maybe cuz he's more versatile and can play TE. That's final preseason game really helped his case.
