http://www.energycentral.com/c/pip/what-we-know-so-far-about-rick-perry’s-power-grid-“study”

The Trump administration is using the reliability argument as cover to distract the American people from their close ties with the coal industry. Just look at Perry’s staff at DOE – it’s a who’s who of the fossil fuel industry lobby. His Chief of Staff, who will manage the study, worked for the Edison Electric Institute – where he led its anti-solar campaign.

I found this tidbit interesting for reasons unrelated to current politics or policies.

Edison fought tooth and nail against using AC current for long distance electricity transmission (which was championed by Tesla; he is the one who created the transformer). Edison electricity generation and distribution system used DC current.

I just found it funny to see his name being associated with people against progress.

What an AMAZING POST B.
black lung training

Nothing to do with the carbon dioxide debate so it's perfectly safe to breath in :hat

Yup.

This is what the nerds at wikipedia say:

Soot causes cancer and lung disease, and is the second-biggest human cause of global warming.

Translation: No carbon dioxide :hat

So we're good to go. Let's get da blank lung B, in record time. 6 months is da average but I think I can have mine even sooner, maybe December if I try hard enough.

Libbies gonna get black lung just off my second hand smoke B. So glorious.

Can we also ban certain groups of Americans and deport them? It's only fair if we're following Trump's logic.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/05/us/orlando-fatalities/index.html

(CNN)A disgruntled former employee shot and killed five people at an Orlando, Florida, business Monday morning before turning the gun on himself, police said.

Police have not named the dead gunman, 45, but say he has no ties to terror or subversive groups.

Police responded to the call about 8 a.m. at Fiamma Inc., which makes accessories for recreational vehicles, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said. The business is located in an industrial area northeast of downtown.

Three men and a woman were found dead at the scene, Demings said. Another man died at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Seven others were inside the business when the shootings took place.

But Da Don says guns aren't an issue!' [emoji]128557[/emoji]

I just don't get how these mass shootings are any better than "terror attacks" (I obviously know the real reason, just saying).Honestly, I live close to a huge Middle Eastern community, and I've never felt unsafe there, but I'm always on edge any time I see a distressed/angry looking "American"

@politico:
Concerns are rising in Washington that Congress may be headed toward a debt default and a government shutdown http://politi.co/2sa5WwD

Somehow, someway, they'll still blame Democrats :lol

"McCain continues to be disappointed as he toes the party line"

:lol :{

The party will go down in history as the GOAT obstructionists for shutting down the government as the opposition party as well as with full control of the legislative and executive branch. I don't even think that the latter has ever happened... yet :lol

This man will go against the word of his advisors on a whim just cause

@peterbakernyt:
Mattis, McMaster and Tillerson got NATO pledge into Trump speech and were blindsided when he took it out. @sbg1
https://t.co/m4g2tkrySb

Like a goddamn child :rollin

I'd resign if I worked for dude and he wasn't ever interested in actually listening to the grown ups in the room.

A few more examples

@maggieNYT:

Even off-the-charts weird initial Spicer briefing on Jan. 21 was something Spicer/others advised against.

And McGahn, despite appearance from outside as "Dr. Yes," has given Trump advice he hasn't heeded repeatedly.

The idea that anyone can stop Trump from doing something once his mind is made up is off.

But so is the idea that no one discourages him from his more destructive statements/lmpulses.

Trump doesn't want to be controlled. In campaign, would often do opposite of what he was advised to do, simply because it was opposite

That's the kind of "man" in charge of the nuclear codes :lol :x

The folks around him should know better than to continue the charade when he won't even listen. They deserve some blame for sticking around
