Boricua.. switch sides... seriously I don't know what people love about the D700 either.. I never really read the specs tho so I can't comment... one thing I don't get is why are Nikon heads in love with the D300?
NIKON USERS- I really need a carry around zoom with VR, anyone have anything bad/ good to say about the 18-105mm VR? Or another good walk around zoom w/ VR you can recommend? Thank you!
I've never heard anything bad about a VR lens. In fact, when I dropped my girl's camera and the lens came off in NYC this summer and wentto a camera shop to talk to the guy about replacing the mirror in the body because it had a scratch on it. He straight up told me (never met dude in my life)that I would "Be a b*tch if I didn't replace the 18-55 with the 18-55 VR". He specifically recommended getting rid of the trash 55-200 kit lensand getting the 55-200 VR. I considered bidding on the 18-105 VR on eBay the other day because I always wish I had more than 55mm at the high end, but neverneeded the whole 200mm end of the other lens.Originally Posted by yamakazi18

yamakazi18 - I like your comments above. Would you mind to have a look in my flickr and let me have some comments as well? Good or bad I don't care, preferably something I may want to consider for future attempts. You can just pick any you like to comment. Everyone else is free to join as well!
I recently changed from a DSLR to a compact and also changed the way I look at a picture a bit.
Thanks!
i really like the "walk and talk" and "lonely at the top" pictures, they belong in a series and do a great job of bringing creativity to something very normal and everyday, which is one of the main reasons i started taking photos in the first place! really brilliant for a modern photography piece, in my opinion. modern photography is imagination without technique, so yours fits well in this category (not that your technique is not good, but these photos are not about technique but the idea you put behind them).
you kinda went crazy with a few HDR's there, but i guess everyone is like that at first, even myself
i also really like the biker guy at the beginning of your photostream. reminds me of early 20th century PJ!
this is the best of the ones you posted..Originally Posted by NikeAirsNCrispyTees
