ughh that way to do "globe" pics is god awful. Im a graphic designer and Ievery time i see someone do it that way. The Flexify II plugin makes much cleaner globes. You just gotta play around with it to get the right look. Please if people are gunna do globes dont butcher it. purchase Flexify or Dl (w/e you want) and LEARN.

Follow-up - what are the purposes of using a lens hood? also, will it get in the way of autofocus lamp, since it sorta flares out in front of the lens? Thanks in advance...
It can reduce lens flare from light and also stops raindrops and stuff getting on your lens.
If it was one of those huge flower ones it could get in the way of the autofocus but an average one wouldn't be any worse than a lot of telephoto lenses.
I really need to get one as I'm doing a bit of landscape stuff right now and the weather is terrible - really spoils images when you have big raindrops onthe lens.
