Thanks for info. What kinda lights did you use?

Not exactly what I was trying to do but I didn't want to hold up the people trying to walk by, so I just took a quick snap.

Hand-held Pani

Nothing major, just trying to shoot a little more and share a little more... feel free to C/C and visit the Flickr Page for more.

took these about 20 minutes ago. even though it's still really early, the moon is up already while the sunset is still going. so i just took them from thewindows in my dorm.

Would greatly appreciate if any of you can tell me what camera or what lens is used to take photos like this:

The same photographer takes these shots. He had similar images last year as well.

Thanks in advance.

To be honest, I don't know.

Anyway, I got my point and shoot today. Will be taking some pictures tomorrow.

Easy. Canon 1D Mark III + EF 16-35 f/2.8 + EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS + Pocket Wizards + flash attached high up the arena + low ISO + small aperture. Forthose normally exposed NBA photos, usually ISO 1600 and the largest aperture of the lenses are used.

there are a whole mess of lenses or cameras those shots could be taken with. they stand out because of the light (strobes in the arena ceiling, aimed down atthe key). honestly, you could pull this off with almost any dlsr and a kit lens, if you set up the lights rights. set your cam to low iso, high shutter speed(usually at max sync speed), aperture low enough to keep the background dark, sync your strobes (usually wireless remotes) and you're golden.

Wow... You guys know your #**%.

Good looking on the speedy - and knowledgeable - responses.

AIR Kamote23 - Great setup. I would absolutely love a 5D mkII, but I won't be upgrading for a while.
