The pics below were my first shots with my cam...didn't have a tripod and it was night time so that's why they're blurry.

Loll is that gaylord hotel.. I love that place. Whats the name of the resort , the first pics you took..

Do any stores price match? What's the best spot to buy the Canon G10? It's at cameragiant.com for 269. Anywhere to get that price in person?

Yo NT Photographers; I need some help with my post-production.

In Lightroom, when I export the photo, the picture in lightroom turns crazy saturated and it's given a white balance that I never set it at. Anyone knowwhat the hell is happening?

and what is the best Color Space (sRGB, adobeRGB, ProPhoto RGB) and what format (JPEG, TIFF, DNG) to save the photo after post-production?

Help would be MORE than appreciated!

I don't know if I said this already... but I am going to buy a Holga. Procastinating FTL!

Anybody have any experience with these?

They are so called "toy camera" because the whole body is plastic.

I'm going to buy the 35mm one since it's easier to get it developed.

SkunkInDunks - I don't know of any stores that price match and I have notseen the G10 that cheap anywhere.. then again I never heard of that site so research before you buy it

Apollo XXXIII - I don't know anything about lightroom but you probwanna save your pics as JPEG because if you wanna upload them to the net, I don't know of any sites if any that will upload TIFF or DNG

165kicks - good stuff.. the kid with the balloon.. you captured her expression good

#1 No physical store price match from online vendors - espcially those that no one knows like the one you mentioned .. if Im you Ill do more digging around, itmight be a scam or they might send you a G10 with nothing at all everything has to be extra .. do your homework ...

#2 I sometimes see what you are talking about, but I cant tell you why .. I only been shooting RAW now so I dont tend to see those problems much .. like Kicksaid you can export to CS4 after you are finish with lightroom for further adjustment and then save for web or something .. smaller files and everyone willaccept them ..

#3 +1 good capture and good PP .. nice

Justin, if you're using a Mac, their programs and monitors display photos with far more saturation than standard monitors and non-Macprograms. You can clearly see the difference if you compare your uploaded photos between Firefox and Safari. There's also a difference between gamma levelsbetween Macs and PCs, so photos on PC tends to look darker. I spent over 2 weeks reading up on all this and it was a real pain adjusting after I made the moveto a Macbook. If you want to take things a step further, read up on calibrating your monitor. I have yet to do this since I'm just working on a regularMacbook but I'm hoping to calibrate my monitor once I save up for an iMac next semester.

As for color space, work on adobeRGB to fully utilize the more diverse range of colors then convert to sRGB before saving and uploading online. If you shootRAW, programs such as Photoshop and Aperture should automatically read the converted RAW file in adobeRGB mode there's no need to bother setting the colorspace in camera. If you're planning to upload photos online, save to JPEG. If you're looking to save an unprocessed image but don't want to keepthe large RAW file, save to TIFF...this way the photo won't be compressed unlike when it's saved to JPEG.
