I don't completely get it either. But by the same token I don't #$!% with ISS, it's just wack to me.
But what does get me is how someone can be a kid in highschool and have their own photography website where they have pricing/scheduling/contact section for setting up shoots.
Seriously I would love to know what qualifies you to charge someone money to take their photograph (especially digital where you're a dime a dozen and it costs you nothing to shoot).
You can't really have any real formal education in photography, you're in high school. (don't tell me high school photography classes, 9 times out of 10 that's some OD hack $@##).
I realize there are plenty of photographers with no formal training at all that probably charge outrageous rates that are "bigger fish to fry" but seriously I'm so sick of people turning what I do (both graphic design and photography) into these untrained hobbies turned businesses.
If you want to take photographs, I get it and more to the point I would encourage it. Photography is the most democratic art, is an ideal I fully believe in. But when you dumb down my formally trained craft by trying to make your hobby look like my craft by having websites where you charge for shoots you insults me at the core. I don't know maybe you just have that on your website just in case and maybe I'm getting the wrong impression and if that's the case I'm sorry. But beyond that you're into these over processed super digitally photos I really am at a loss as to what qualifies you as someone capable of charging people to photograph them other than peoples own ignorance, that you're playing upon.
Thanks man. It is Stockholm, Sweden.Originally Posted by bustinxjustin

That brain surgeon thing has no relation. Two WAY different subjects.
And you can tell that to the clubs who want me as their photog and the people who want their senior portraits.
