Asking for availability of an item and providing information on such is not sufficient justification for termination. Nike is way over its head... disciplining staff for providing customer service... 'SMH!!!"be mad at nike not the employees. nike is trying to implement a muzzle system for info on the phones under threat of termination.
if the shoe was on the other foot, you would do the same.

What were you looking for? Thought about swinging by there after work today, I can scope it out this afternoon

The first few were random but the later stores all knew ahead of time that they were getting them. And yes there were wristbands for them.
I don't exactly recall but weren't these just randomly dropped at factory stores with no notice ahead of time?
Im looking for the Son of Mars Green Low size 11.5

Cant believe these outlets are now doing wristband. I remember when I got grape 5s at Deer Park last month, they had 100+ pairs and only 40-50 people were there at opening
Thanks for the thorough explanation... I wonder if this practice is followed outside the outlet stores. Niketowns have the reputation of performing questionable practices.Outlets know what they're getting ahead of time. They have a inbound binder that lists all items coming in. Here's the catch, the inbounds only shows product number, or style code and color code. Unless you know all that off the top of your head, you won't know what the item is unless you look up the information. That's why it's easier to tell folks "I don't know what we're getting". Plus outlets get stuff everyday it would be near impossible to go through all the inbounds to match a product with the information provided in the inbound shipping list.
They're rare occassions when an outlet will get a surprise shipment, but even that isn't really a surprise. Corporate will email the store manager saying they'll get a special item , this is how we want you to display the product, this is how we want you to handle the release and etc. Corporate does indeed tell their managers to be hush about certain products, even to the point they have keep it a secret from the employees. A lot of times when people think managers are being shady, it's most likely because they're just doing what corporate asked.
The only time it would be a real surprise shipment is if it's store transfers or an accidental shipment. On the rare occasion corporate will be hush and just send something to the outlet, the employees obviously wouldn't know what they got until the item is processed.
As far as employees buying products before customers, at least in California, it's a no go. I have close friends that work at multiple outlets who were not able to secure themselves the fear IVs. I'm talking about seasoned employees too, like 5+ years working for Nike. I even know of one outlet releasing the Fear IVs on Saturday, that will not sell to their employees for the first 48hours.
Hope this clears up some of the "conspiracies" floating around.

Yeah my buddy told me they won't even let him use his employee discount on the fear 4.
Friday and Sat is the weekend, Sunday is the first day of the week saturday being the last day of the week.

what will you say is cheap????Nothing note worthy at the San Leandro, CA clearance store. At least in a size 10-11. There was a pair of size 11 sunset Air Max 95s that I tried on that was $79.99, but you can get that pricing with a coupon on any major online retailer now. However, all their accessories were 20% off and they had a ton of Nike Elite basketball and vapor (football as well as futbol, haha) socks for $9.99 plus 20% off. They ended up being $7.99/pr. Some Jordan game day socks in XL (black/blue, black/red) for $6.99 for those big footers.
So you Bay Area folk who need to stock up on Elite socks in basic colors, you can find a bunch here pretty cheap. Most of their stock consisted of the black/white and white/black Elite socks. There's no Kay Yows, PEs, or anything crazy though. It still beats the East Bay that's $30 for 3 pairs by a fair margin.
