I smelled the CK One Summer today; it was okay but decided to pass

the coconut turns woody which I wasn't crazy about during drydown

I got a sample of Kenneth Cole Mankind and was very surprised how nice this one is for a designer...check this one out for sure :smokin

Will do... Thnx for checking. For some reason not one place around me has that CK yet. I'll check up on the mankind though.

hey guys in regards to summer scents - I have splits of l'humaniste and sel marin on the way. For summer I use Aventus, YSL l'homme and MI.  I've tested most designer summer fragrances, but I was wondering if there's anything else I should check out? I don't like orange citrus for the most part or coconut.

not a big fan of l'eau d'issey

already have 212 for men

have samples of GiT

have cool water

have allure homme sport

I want to smell epice marine, and the new armani but other than that...any suggestions?

What's your price point?
Anything lower than amouage+clive christian c levels is fair game so definitely under 300.

I'll sample it first, but since I don't buy that many full bottles, I'm not too concerned with cost.

What's the best cologne? Any price point...
Dudes need to stick to these splits that's going on right now. Once these splits are gone there should be more to pick from. Have you tried Mont Blanc legend? Or tom ford noir?

I went and got samples for bond no 9 recently. Tried pretty much everything. My favourites were andy warhol montauk (pretty amazing actually), bleeker st (wouldn't buy a FB of but decent), and HTTP. Coney island is a very good scent too, but not on my skin. I can't deal with overly sweet, and occasionally it's like that on my skin. Not sure I actually have tried wall st on my skin, I'll do that.

I'll definitely go check out bvlgari aqva on my skin, but my friend uses it so I likely won't get it for that reason.

I also saw a really good deal on silver mountain water and I might get a bottle of that. Not the best longevity but smells great.

Montauk? really that is by far their worst cologne they make

damn haha. I didn't think it was that bad. I've only tried it twice though, but it smelled pretty good on me.

I don't think bond no. 9 makes the best fragrances in general if we're being completely honest here. They aren't really for me.

Also I think New Haarlem is the biggest turn around for me. Hated the first wear but like it a lot subsequently.

^ haha yea I don't like wearing the same thing as my friends so you probably won't like aqva. Surprised no one suggested Aventus and it is that good but we all talk about it in here all the time lol. Oh and See Marin is great so you shouldn't be disappointed

Going to need to try that KC Mankind, and have never tried Mont Blanc Legend

yeah aventus is one of my favourites. I already have a FB of that and it sets a fairly high bar for what I'd purchase a FB of in the future

good to hear about the sel marin. I'm really hopeful that will blow me away and that';ll be the end of it

** SPRING/SUMMER SPLITS: HEELEY MENTHE FRAICHE // ATELIER COLOGNE  GRAND NEROLI // FRAPIN L'HUMANISTE **

Questions about quantity, INTL shipping, or anything PM, me. Thanks. Bottles will be ordered when half the juice is paid for.

Heeley Menthe Fraiche by James Heeley: 100 ml available

5 ml $12
10 ml $21
20 ml $40

30 ml $61

Top notes are mint leaf and Sicilian bergamot. The heart contains lotus and mate, and the base is formed of white cedar.

My thoughts: It's crisp, fresh, calming, maybe even invigorating.. The mix of green tea with mint are both soothing in warmer weather. It's the best mint-based fragrance out there. Closest thing in the designer market would be Cartier Roadster.

Atelier Cologne Grand Neroli: 200 mL available

5 ml $9
10 ml $14
20 ml $31

30 ml $45

Grand Neroli from the Cologne Absolue collection is the smell of fresh Italian summer afternoon. It contains notes of Moroccan neroli, lemon, Sicilian bergamot, petit grain, Persian galbanum, moss, birch leaf, pure musk, white amber and vanilla from Madagascar.

My thoughts: I prefer this to Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, let's take the pricing out of the equation. To me this is a better scent, the neroli/citrus in both smell exactly the same and this has a creamy vanilla dry down. I've gotten 8-10 hrs from both which is amazing for summer citrus scents, but TF Neroli Port is a $100+ more and half the size.

Frapin L'Humansite: 100 ML available (2nd Bottle)

5ml-  $11

10ml- $18

20ml- $38

30ml- $58

A gin & tonic inspired masterpiece. A bit fruity and much more versatile than Creed's Virgin Island Water.

"It opens with lemon, bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper and black pepper. A heart encompasses juniper berries, nutmeg, thyme and peony, while a base includes gin, oak moss and tonka. "
Menthe Fraiche- 75ml left

L'Humaniste- 80 ml left

Grand Neroli- 150 ml left
Menthe Fraiche- 75ml left

L'Humaniste- 80 ml left

Grand Neroli- 150 ml left

all are still available.. Bottles being ordered when half is paid for.

Any suggestions for future splits?
It'll be a little while since there's still so many going on, but feel free to make some suggestions

And yes aventus and bondventus will both eventually be split
