I would like to be a part of the Flyknit Collective and here is my "application" I guess.
1. I own 2 pairs of Flyknit Trainers and 2 pairs of the Flyknit 1+
2. The moment these were rocked by each and every Olympic Athlete (those who had ties with Nike) I knew I needed to check them out. It was actually Michael Phelps who had me like
Anyways, I was able to check em out in person at NikeTown San Francisco and the moment I slipped them on, I knew it was going to be a problem. I was hesitant at first to purchase because of the price, but I felt like if I could justify buying a Jordan Retro with crap quality, I can purchase the Flyknit Trainers (Volts) with no regrets! On top of that, the detail of the shoe really is an intricate, beautiful thing.
I'm in my late 20's and I
feel like KNOW I'm over Jordan's and have moved onto the next phase of the shoe addiction and that's lightweight, stylish, and comfortable shoes. These 3 factors are essentially what the Flyknit line is ALL about, gotta love that! My volt trainers are my favorite pair for Flyknit anything.
For those who don't want to read TL
R - I saw the Trainers during the Olympics and had to go check them out when they released at my local NikeTown. Bought the 2nd to last pair of 9.5 (volts) and never looked back.
3. I was on vacation for about 2.5 weeks and just came back to this thread where it jumped a couple dozen pages and I love that it has been rejuvenated. I've been pretty active on this thread along with the Flyknit 1+. Also, I was the first to point out the extra heel padding/ribbon laces for the Trainers when I purchased the Black Trainers off of Run.com. I prefer the non padded version because it looks better aesthetically.
I brought those into NikeTown San Francisco to ask if they have ever seen Trainers with the padding and they said no and told me they were probably fake
. Told him it was purchased from a Finish Line sister company and multiple employee's said I was duped (go figure).
4.
5. I wear my true size in both Flyknit Trainers and Flyknit 1+ and that's size 9.5.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
