Nike should release the flyknit/lunartrainer shoe he's wearing and straight call it Flyknit Lester+.

the lace locks are straight FUNCTION, he only has one hand...
I've been lurkin' in this thread for a minute. I was thinking the same thing. I hope this isn't a stupid question, but does Nike have lace locks? Those pictured on Lester look tight.

Obviously lace locks are made to FUNCTION, but it doesn't hurt when it adds to FASHION...
It looks like nike has sold lace locks separately...

Thanks EmDeuce24...I'll have to look around for them....

Damn, sorry to hear about Lester. Hope he gets better soon. There is one thing he's proven throughout his life is that nothing holds him back so I'm sure he'll come back fine. I like the sound of the Flyknit Lester too. They should put some Aloha inspired colors (shoes) & some tees/apparel too. That would be dope...

It's official. I'm going to sell both my CDP XI/XII packs to purchase these.

They won't hit 2012.. Nike are struggling with the machinery to mass produce em.

I too have heard that Nike is having trouble with the machinery.  And due to economies of scale, or lack there of, is the reason the price point is so high in relation to other Nike running shoes.   Where did you hear that they wont drop in 2012?

Nike beaten into submission by a knitting machine!?? That'll be the day...
I'm sure we will be seeing these in time to coincide with the olympics, that's what all those years of R&D have added up to. I doubt a company like Nike would hold a huge press conference about this amazing new thing they have come up with and then not actually release the product because of trouble with a knitting machine...

ugh. why. after i posted last month production likely wasnt set to begin til 2013, it was stated we'd see these in July. I had prepped myself for disappointment, but got all excited for nothing. it's gonna hurt even more now when i pass off my flyknits to a friend later this week. i'll cross my fingers for some better news, or news this is bad info lol.

Just saw a picture of a red/black pair, pretty awesome, same scheme as the volt-like pair but red blended with black and a white swoosh

...cannot WAIT to run in a pair
edit: i want to see that orange/blue pair under neath it....

I think that is why I am excited for these.

Agreed on Lunar Racers though, I'm not a runner by any stretch of the word.

The look of these has me most excited, I haven't really followed this thread, anywhere for me to find them?
i'm not a runner really, but i do get excited with new tech.....

Sure they might be the same ride, but for the most part people on NT are looking for looks.

Both the trainers and the runners are sick.

^true, but when it comes to technical stuff, like the "new running shoe"...sometimes it's nice to see them change it up and actually do something different. i.e. the free run 1 vs 2....aesthetically the 2 looks better IMO, but he ride to me was pretty damn similar...

I will reserve judgement then...i mean i do like my yeezy's and they sit on an old air rev/jordan iii midsole.... so "touche" lol

Woah

That red pair looks so sexy, those and volts are an instant cop.

Thanks azn for the photos.

so nice. i like the trainers over the racers because of comfort over performance, but damn those racers look beautiful. thanks for sharing the pics. it's all we have to look forward to in this thread lol.

I agree with you in that Nike, with as big and successful as they are, is not going to miss the opportunity to debut and feature new technology during the olympics.  It would be huge gaffe and a miss opportunity if Nike can get the production in gear.

The Racers look DOPE in that pic; however, I can't get over the Black outsole...

Was reading some stuff on Bloomberg.com & came across this article about the flyknit posted March 7th. Thought I'd share. The photo above accompanied the story. Thought it was a cool pic. Story below.

Nike Inc.’s (NKE) latest running shoe got its start when designers tried to solve a longstanding request from athletes: make shoes as comfortable as socks.

kidding... but seriously, do these fit narrow and or kinda like the lunar racers from a few years back or are they pretty stretchy?  I would find it difficult to believe these get pushed back to 2013 in light of the olympics and the drops they have already had.  Not that they have been MASS produced, but probably more produced than we the public know already. just my .02.  Jealous of the dudes that have 'em already.  More excited about these than Roshes I think.

For those asking about the sizing I cannot speak for the trainers. These racers however do run very true to size for me personally, maybe leaning slightly towards the narrow side. And the material doesn't stretch so much as just form to your foot when you tighten the laces. And yes parts of the uppers (more on the racers than the trainers I believe) are in fact see thru due to the way it's "knitted" together. Basically the top of the toe box and the saddle are formed with a loose knit resulting in tiny 1/8th inch holes. Here's some pic to try to show what I'm saying:(sorry to page jack)I guess this is the best way the show the "holes" I am referring to as you can see them in the swoosh, also the swoosh is painted on:Here is the toe box and the volt green you are seeing is the insole as the knit is "see-thru":The hint of volt in the base of the upper is the insole again:
