Finally got around to take a few shots. I'm always too lazy to take them out the boxes and put them back.

This is my current circle, not including any double or triples

For those who've painted the midsoles on their racers, which Angelus paint did you use?

Standard black?
https://angelusdirect.com/collections/paint/products/black-paint

Flat Black?
https://angelusdirect.com/collections/paint/products/angelus-flat-black-paint

Also, what size brush do you recommend to do the job? I have a pair of MC 2.0's where the black portion rubbed off from cleaning and would like to paint it over

I was looking at the #0 angular shader or the #6 filbert? Or should I stop by a local arts & crafts store and get the brushes from there?

Also, preparation process - just a simple cleaning of the area with soap and water and dry properly?

Thanks

^Agree w/ everything E ek1m said

Flat black

Any small flat tip brush, will need a couple of coats

Also clean the brush w/ water regularly between coats to get that smoothness

Clean and dry the area and you're ready to go

You can also use painter's tape to prevent any mishaps

use flat black and any brush is fine but i would recommend a small size "flat" style

Im indifferent. Volt 2 tones are a million times better than the mixed. Cheetos arent a two tone. Multicolors arent a two tone. I have favorites of both.

what size are all of those racers by the way?

the Majority are 8.5, maybe two are size 8 because I simply couldn't refuse the price.

I still have like 5 more colorways I'd really like to get.

- Knit by Nights
- Lucid Green
- Be Trues
- Pink Hyper Crimsons
- Chlorine Blues
- No Parking
- Atomics
- Brave Blue/Neon
- Blue Glows

Damn I guess I have closer to 10 more I NEED, to be satisfied lol

Overall, I like the two toned cws more because they have more good ones compared to the interwoven cws. However, the Cheetos are my favorite of all time.

I’m pretty much done with FKRs, but I’m always on the lookout for duplicates for decent prices... I still have a bunch of spare LR donor soles looking to be swapped lol

My first pair was a pair of Oreos, then I was hooked.

It took me like 3 months to track down a pair of Cheetos. I got so lucky. Won a DS pair on ebay for $170 shipped like 6 months ago.

I unDS'd them when I went to Egypt in March. Which was a bad idea because there was literal ish all over the floor from camels

But I cleaned them up my last night at the hotel, I used the towels from the bathroom. I felt so bad, I left them super dirty to the point they probably threw them out.

You're thinking too much. Just get regular black, prep the shoe with acetone wipe down so the paint binds to the sole better, two or three coats, and then use something like krylon matte finisher to protect it.

Glad the racer community is still strong!

Rocking some MC3s to work since they changed my dress code to casual everyday now. Jeans and sneakers FTW!

If anyone has used atmosphere greys, would love to see pics after some wear. Thinking of doing a paint project on those. Love the painted swoosh my cousin did on my cirrus, but I don't really like wearing that shade of blue after all.

I was cleaning my OG black white trainers with Reshoven8r and the soft brush stripped the paint on the midsole...anyone know if angelus black paint would be a good fix?
