Orange Racers for $80 sounds like something I need to cope with missing out on the MC Racer pre-order.

I changed my order a couple hours after I placed it for racers. I called again yesterday and he confirmed my order again. Haven't gotten a cancelation email but I don't feel good about it and my order online is jacked up since I changed it. Guess I will find out in a month...

so i just called rrs just to see what the story with the MC was. i ended up ordering both the racer and the FK1 even though they werent listed on the website. just got my confirmation and she said they still had pairs available. here is my confirmation

Damn. I'm thinking of refusing the shipment from Menlook.com for the Volt Trainers.
Customs/Duty & Taxes is RAPE...about $50. Menlook.com also effed up and declared the full value as the cost+shipping, instead of just the shoe itself. I'd almost rather wait for the restock from NDC, but I wouldn't mind having them now.
I have until Monday to decide. Conundrum...
Has anyone else received their Menlook shipment? How much was your duty & taxes?

55 dollars for customs?! What happens when you refuse the package? Will you get your money back for the purchase? I think I will refuse it if the customs come out to that much
I also had my multicolor racers cancelled, and didnt win any raffles for the lebron mvps. Bad weekend for shoes for me!! Lol (sorry for ranting haha)

If I refuse the delivery. The shoes are sent back to the sender at no charge.
BUT I'd have to speak to Menlook.com, explain that the customs/taxes was too expensive, the shoes are on their way back and request a refund.
Seems easy, but when you're dealing with a foreign shop that usually does not communicate in English...its a hassle.
I even emailed them (in French) the second after I ordered asking them to send as a "GIFT." They replied 3 days later saying that they apologize, but the shoes have already been shipped.

So rrs took too many orders; they didn't think they could fulfill everyone's so they cancelled some. What they're trying to do is order some more from nike I reordered one of my cancelled pairs and they are listed as back ordered.

Mind you I bought 2 pairs, which is over the $200 USD limit.

Did you order two pairs? This is why I purchased mine in two separate orders. Total for each came out to $140. So, I'm hoping I don't get hit with fees too.
Also, in the grand scheme of things, if you add in that $50 (assuming you got two pairs) then that's only a $25 increase on both, which comes to $165/ea, which is just a bit more than NDC would charge with taxes. In that scenario, I'd rather pay a few dollars more for non-padded Volts than a padded restock.
Moreover, since the Volt restock is supposedly set for January 2014, it's worth the few bucks.

Idk the rep told me he reordered then for me so I wait a couple hours for my confirmation email but didn't get anything, so I called again and since it was placed on my original order I don't get another email, spoke with another guy and he told me my order is in their system as back ordered

With all these cancellations, I'm just glad the MC's are general release. More luck for all of us.

But its all good. These are a GR so like nearly all other flyknit colorways, there will be numerous opportunities to cop for retail. That RR deal was a great one though, might not get better than that.
