If it's indeed true, an Achilles tear is gonna take about a year to come back from.
If Kobe comes back to the NBA, it won't be until the 2014 - 2015 season.

With the game being so close to ending, you know if it wasn't serious, kobe would have finished the game. He did look very teary eyed.

if it's a partially torn, then it can heal within a few months. if it's a full rupture then it will be a very long time before he comes back

yea he just said in the interview that it's a torn achilles. it's a wrap for this season. just gotta hope for a speedy recovery and the rest of the team shows up. also saying the shoe is gonna hit clearance just cause he went down in them is baseless ,IMO, cause it could go the opposite and be sold out immediately... last kobe 8 cw he wore on the court..

And he has to play ALL 48 minutes to do it because of a crap coach and players with no heart...
The dude goes beyond himself every night...all these years and excessive minutes took their toll...

Damn, that's at least one season it'll take to completely heal minimum but wish him a speedy and complete recovery. Kobe isn't a robot, he's human like us but what a gutsy performance all season long. Much love from all of us fans/ admirers to you Black Mamba. Godspeed Kobe!
