NEW COLORWAY!!!! I believe those are those Red Snakes someone mentioned dropping in June or something. I thought they were the Red Camo at a quick glance but those are entirely new.

Those are so unnecessary. Basically, red tongue, silver shozoku, black laces and slightly lighter sole and upper only difference to red camos.

I agree. They should've dropped the Westchesters w/o the logo or made a black & red version of the sulfers. Those things will get you shot even in the Jungles.

why be mad? seems like u mad everyone aint a laker fan! kobe a good player, but thats it for me and alot of other basketball fans. hell i buy sneakers cause i like the cw, not necessarily because its a team color....maybe u feel like a member of the lakers when you wear purple and thats cool, but all that supporting a team by buying everything related to them aint my thing.

We've seen this colorway for a long time and haven't had much to go off of for a release. Without a true Lakers colorway outside the sulfurs this is just something for people to enjoy that ARE Lakers fans and DO collect things of that nature.

I like the multi colored Kobes.. I don't care about the name... I did like them better with the yellow sole tho?
But with the whole N7 talk.. people are kinda acting like they know without a shout of a doubt that it's not a N7.. saying "they never made a Kobe before, they won't start now" but didn't KD just get one last year with the KD IV? they can't add one now? lol, is it too late?

I liked Kobe VII WTK's too.. even camped overnight.. but missed out on them; I don't own them but im looking..

Back to the kicks though. Definitely gonna pick up the Purple Fades. Pair of ASGs came in yesterday as well, wasn't a fan initially but saw them on foot a week ago and had to have 'em.

It's not that it's "too late"...

1. There is no N7 insignia located anywhere on the shoe or box (even TouchdownTodd, who had the shoes in his possession, stated this and that they were not N7 related).

2. Some Native American tribes feel that snakes are bad luck, or evil spirits. That would be terrible marketing from Nike and the N7 program.

3. The Kobe line has never had anything N7 related in their line before, unlike Kevin Durant who is easily associated, as are Native Americans, with the state of Oklahoma.

4. These multicolored Kobe 8s are believed to be released on 5/27, while the N7 line for this year will drop this weekend I believe.

Just my 2 cents...or maybe 4

Might need to pick up two pairs of the 'fades to hoop/wear casually, but only if it's a general release, otherwise, I can live with one. These are the pair that should convert non-8 fanboys, there's almost a Galaxy vibe to them. I think if we could just get the Purple Inlines(or the home CW with purple soles) I'd be happily finished with the 8s. Lakers CWs and Christmas. I feel like the inlines have a good shot at a September release, like with that VI Lakers home CW Kobe wore to start the season.

looks like they finally executed those colours properly. no stupid silver heel cup that throws off the shoe? perfect.

Nike has a cycle of late December to the following November for that year's series of Kobes.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't drop the Inlines until October, since the 9s won't release until around Christmas.

I'm pretty certain that's how it'll be. They usually don't release the new signature until November/December. Case in point, opening day 7s leading into the Sulfurs which dropped in December I believe. Kinda like how Jordan's new signature was always released around all star weekend i.e. Jordan wore playoff 13s for 98' ASG leading into black toe 14s (don't quote me on the J's, but Kobes I'm certain on)

Some of my Native American friends just hate the fact that people on NT associate the "Snake" with N7, so I was just trying to do my best to give out some credible info...
