So you guys are saying that this will drive the price down on authentic pairs?
I purposely didn't name specific people, but some just love wearing any suit.
Plus the resellers didn't make these "exclusive" the consumers did. Plus I don't get why we are even talking about exclusive when no one knows EXACT production #'s.
But like I said in my precious post, it was just a rant.
Fakes driving the value of an shoe down is just wishful thinking. The only people who think this, are the ones who still don't have a pair and trying to convince others.

I think more fakes flooding the market will actually keep the cost high and possibly increase IMO.

Given the price gap between fake and real, Resellers will keep the price high to show that the shoes are "legit".

Although it doesn't have to be this way, I feel that price gives buyers a sense of legitimacy when purchasing shoes.

I don't know about you guys, but pairs in my size(9) specifically solar reds have gone up because the market has dried up. Prices were crazy after RD, they went down slowly and now theyv'e gone back up. :rolleyes

I don't see how this fake yeezy 2 are any different then any other fakes out there or will they effect the value of the real ones? Can someone please fill me in? Fakes are fakes, just like the Ray 13s, Concords, Tiff or any other AAAAAA+ quality knock offs. And for the one who said the shoes aren't hard to obtain anymore... seriously? So people can now say they have a pair of yeezy when they buy fake pairs?

So, you're going to act like that little statement wasn't derived off what I said about them being exclusive?
Right...

And WE weren't talking about anything. I made a statement, you ran with it...

And no, the fakes OBVIOUSLY won't drive down the price of the authentic pairs. But 50% of the people that were looking for them will more than likely say **** it and just cop the replica's now.
And consumer's didn't make these shoes exclusive. How the hell did the consumer make the shoe exclusive? Are the consumers the ones making the shoes in limited quantities? Hyped =/= exclusive. The consumer base HYPED up the shoe. Nike made them EXCLUSIVE.

These aren't like those horribly executed AY1 replica's that circulated around in '09-'10. These guys have stepped their **** up. There are dudes on NT that can barely tell the difference. You think the average consumer who just wants these because they like the silhouette and aren't down to pay a months rent on these shoes WONT hop on these? Just because resellers won't drop their prices, doesn't mean buyers won't find an alternative to their **** prices...

Are you serious? OF COURSE THEY'RE GOING TO SAY THAT.

You just sat there and called them "fake air yeezy 2's"

You think a dude with a knockoff rolex doesn't call his watch a rolex?

I mean you, so you will buy fakes and rock fakes right and have no shame of doing so right? True you can fool everyone but can you fool yourself too?

I mean you, so you will buy fakes and rock fakes right and have no shame of doing so right? True you can fool everyone but can you fool yourself too?

Yeah... Because thats exactly what I said...

I swear man... Reading comprehension goes a long way...

I'm not saying you will, I'm asking will you buy them? Just curious

Nah. Thats just not my thing. There's no point in me buying the fakes when I'm well and capable of buying the authentics.
But just because I'm able to buy the authentics for that high price, doesn't meant I will buy those either.

I love the look of this shoe, I love the materials, I love the colors, and the silhouette. BUT Thats not worth spending 1-2 grand on them.
I had my chance to cop on RD, Nike's servers ****** me over. But that was all good. I'm still a fan of the sneaker, and who knows. Maybe one day in the future I might go against my morals right now and actually pay that price.

But fakes? I'm good on that. I don't want them that bad.

But I will tell you this - I respect that the makers of these replica's hustled so hard to get them this good. Taking comments and suggestions from their customers to give them a better quality product. Thats real hustle right there. I respect how they are going above and beyond for their customers and making special packaging (Which Nike should have done for that price they charged), pre orders, etc.

Thats quality customer support. Something I don't respect about Nike anymore.

And contrary to popular belief, these dudes buying knockoffs don't give 2 ***** that they're fake. Go watch one of those videos on youtube famb. These dudes don't lie to themselves. They know exactly what they're buying and flaunt it proudly. They don't lie to themselves about the authenticity of their shoes.

They really just don't give a ****. They just like the look of the shoes, so they get in where they can fit in.

Just because I respect what the fake sellers and buyers do, that doesn't mean I support it.
I respect people who don't give a **** and buy what they want, and wear it because they want to. Its their life.

Also, just as I said above, I respect the time and effort, and work these fake sellers are putting in. Cause they got families to feed. But just because they got families to feed, they don't forget that their customers do too. So they keep **** within their target markets range.

Everyone doesn't rock authentic kicks. Fakes have been around for a long time.
I couldn't care less if the next man was wearing a pair of fakes.

But what would piss me off is if his fakes were more well worth his money than mine were.
These fakes could be a better quality shoe for all we know. No cracking, better packaging, cheaper price... That would honestly piss me off if I just dropped that much money on my authentics and I didn't get those things...

Oh, but I got some MINOR details that he doesn't have. The eyelets on my pair aren't as light? Yeah, thats definitely worth the extra $1500...

Nah... I'm good all the way around on this one.
I've been collecting shoes since 1999-2000. I don't take this **** as seriously as some other cats because at this point, I'm not as obsessed. Sneakers don't bring me happiness or unhappiness if I can't cop. Fakes don't grind my gears, and at the end of the day, its just a hobby that I do for myself.

How long does it take for the pictures to submit?

I need a pair legit checked like asap.

The fake market just gets better every day.  Hopefully there is an easy way to differentiate from the legit.

Well, it's a nice thought, and i'd love to think same, but, with that almost legit look on fakes, don't you believe they would sell them like the real thing to people who don't already have a pair and indeed can't spot one? I do have solars and man, if it was not for comparing them by every detail, i would fall down believing those were real. I think fake sellers will down the prices a little, because they would be very happy with stealing like +1000$. That's my opinion.

Yea, especially concerning is the only way to buy it is on the secondary market which makes it even more worrisome when trying to buy legit ones.

I honestly was not specifically referring to you. If that were my intention I would have simply quoted a specific post...

I was more or less commenting on the climate exhibited in the last few pages through various posts.

Simple as that. I don't like beating around the bush, whether online or in person. If I mean to call someone out, I'll do so by name.

I was wondering, If someone loses a lacetip, where can one find replacements? Someone is selling a pair but without the gold tips, just the regular black/silver ones...

Also for those who have the shoes already...how do you keep the lacetips from falling off?

not that i condone fakes, but seriously are these any different than getting early releases from Air-Randy/ Mentalkicks/ Sneakerape? These would be like getting a pair of high grade Ray Allen 13 knockoffs or those Freddy Krugers they were selling on VMVINC.

the fake makers REALLY stepped their game up and is the most accurate ive seen a fake shoe look to the real thing, minor flaws aside. its scary that the fake makers actually now have the know-how to perfect nearly every detail on a shoe. seeing how detailed this shoe is, this is an amazing accomplishment. Like it or not, this will in turn make prices dip on the real version to probably the $700-$1000 range.

A good example would be the LV Millionaires. before 2011, even a worn pair would go for $5000. Now, i see people popping off VIP member pairs for $700-$100 because of the fakes that have surrounded the market.

prices wont dip on solar reds atleast. prices have steadily risen on solar reds again just because there simply aren't enough pairs out there to supply the demand for them. havent seen a pair sell for under 2k on ebay for awhile.

The only thing I have a problem with, is people trying to passing them off as real. Either to stunt, or to sell. Other than that, they can wear whatever they want. Has not effect on my life in anyway.

not gonna lie... I have authentic pairs, but the closer they get to 1:1 (and at a $70 price tag) I am somewhat tempted to just buying a pair to beat when I go out at night, and saving my legit pairs for the daytime wears :{

lol. you either dont have a pair and are trying to downplay them to get them cheaper or simply just dont know. the window of opportunity to get them lower has already past because most people who needed or wanted to move them quickly have already sold them. yes the replicas are getting better, but there are tons of fakes that are basically 1:1 replicas and those haven't put much of a dent on the authentics. i just sold my used tiffs for a nice chunk of change and know i can get much more for my ds pair.

This.

I like the look of the shoe. I have a real pair, but I'd buy those fakes and beat the **** out of them. I guess I dont care as much as I used to. I used to think fake shoes were the worst thing in the world. But now that I have bigger things to worry about...I honestly couldnt care less. Oh well

Tempting.

You are CORRECT in general... but I just wanted to throw out there that an authentic pair of Solars size 10 ended on eBay for under $1100 (sorry don't remember the exact number, it was at auction) yesterday 08/28/12...

I know that's an exception but deals are still to be found.

Many sellers are lazy and slack on the category, tags, description and most importantly pictures. They slack to the point that even if their holding authentics they scare away customers.
