Staggered releasing to snag impulse buyers and the fear of missing outers.
I kinda want a black/white pair but don't want to pay retail. Was hoping to see at outlets eventually but that seems unlikely.

^^ It's interesting that they are using this method on these shoes. I for one want them because they take me back to the old days which i'm sure is the deal for most of us in here.
But to me, they wouldn't appeal to the younger generations who are i'm sure the majority of the sneaker market because it doesn't make them nostaligic...and by today's standard they are bulky oldschool looking shoes.
You'd figure they'd be trying this approach with the KDs or something else that they are having a hard time selling.
Either way, i just want an olympic pair for sure haha.

its not just these specific shoes. the athletes from back in the day seem to be getting the same treatment. like barkleys, pippens, pennys, griffeys have had this happen so its just a formula at this point.
dont forget that the last batch of retros took a bit to completely sell out too like the Olympics and the black/volt pair.

The majority who buy non-Jordan retros are the ones who are old enough to remember the player actually playing though.

As per Miami/Broward County area, Olympics from the 2012 dropped, sold out that same weekend. The 2010 HOH Exclusive Olympics that dropped the week of the LBJ PreHeat 8 release sold out the same day at Dadeland mall, had two homies that worked there confirm that for me.. The black/white pair took about a month to sell out. Black/Volt and Navy/Orange/White sat for months, volts hit outlets actually. Seems like OG color ways this time around are being bought up by all type of crowds. Old and young generations.
