OFFICIAL NFLOFFSZN THREAD 2024-25: WHERE THE LOSERS DWELL

AZ is paying Kliff for the next 2 seasons. Add his Washington salary and he’s already making top 5-6 HC money. No need to run away from happiness now. He’ll have opportunities in the next cycle.

Side note, I hope Washington figures out how to bring our A game against the division rivals. We only had one good showing which was against the Giants. The other Ws were FG fests or involved backup QBs. We really need convincing Ws against Dallas and Philly.

If a player had incentives for the Pro Bowl in their contract, would they be entitled to those same incentives if they only made it via replacement?

Why wouldn’t they?

Like all pro or making it to conference championship or Super Bowl, just straight forward clauses.. or certain performance closes like yards or sacks

Lawd this could be a blessing and a curse..

I want kellen moore gone.. but zero clue wjo the hell would replace him, I was a Bobby slowik fan

I swear you hate every Eagles coordinator

I loved Shane Steichen.. now that we have fangio and faster CBs, I don’t hate fangio’s scheme once we have fangio and fangio isn’t religiously staying committed to a single zone coverage (still hate his wannabes though)

If the first play of the game is an edge run that goes to the house maybe don’t wait until the 2nd half to repeatedly attack the edges.. especially when the few plays you did previously attack the edges all worked

For example, teams had to know the eagles motion was pointless all year.. until they actually did it a couple times

And once you show teams you are actually going use that motion for more than jusg window dressing, you get

Yea don’t think you’d want Slowik now

Yea.. I know he got a raw deal with some injuries.. but seeing some of the play calls feels like watching some of our DCs who were from the fangio tree and refused to adapt aspects of for game specific plans

But I got no clue who I’d want at OC.. scheme doesn’t need to be complex or anything.. just asking for someone to use motion and some under center playaction and make teams at least think and account for shh.. watch the film and see where other team sucks and attack, it’s literally what Shane did our roster allowed it

Yea he never adapted or adjusted his play calling. Scouts/coaches of the teams they played against were saying he was just running the same plays as the year prior with no adjustments.

He also blew up on CJ in a predraft meeting to the point where CJ believed Houston wasn’t drafting him.

Yea I jsut listened to the draft stuff.. I actually don’t mind that

BUT you can’t pull THAT and then not adapt in year 2 once you see the guy pick up some stuff or evolve beyond the basic of the scheme kyle taught you

but I don’t think much of any nfl coach that can’t adapt to personnel or situations.. even in high school you gotta make shh work with what you got

IDK blowing up on a guy in a draft visit because he related a play the organization would run to what they ran in college seems off to me. He’s relating his familiarity to it and you blow up on him in a draft visit because “that’s not how we do it here” is a tad OD whatever way you slice it.

The radio guy explaining it gave the backstory that CJ would blow of the OSU OC and only talk to Ryan day..

But for me, that could be a positive because I think we need someone to tell sirianni about his shh.. which is why I don’t know how to fairly judge Brian Johnson, cause I know he knows more

And even Shane showed he clearly knows more.. but he worked best with sirianni/old school colts simple shh.. and I assume that’s because sirianni gave Shane more from than he did Brian Johnson because they were always on similar levels until sirianni got the HC spot

I listen to them every morning going into work. Lance Zierlein is a draft analyst that works for NFL network and is pretty connected into the league.

when the scouts told bill they wanted Trent, his response was, "who the **** has he guarded in the PAC12?"

as if Cole Strange had to block anyone at Chatanooga. Bill was a ******* menace with some of these drafts man :lol
