That Trey Lance pick at 3 deserves an investigation. We missed bad.

They picked the worst possible year to trade up and draft a qb. But I don’t know what they saw in Trey Lance all things considered. But all things considered the other options not named Trevor Lawrence weren’t all that appealing either and they’re all on different teams now as well with only Justin Fields having any realistic chance at starting this season.

Outside of Purdy the 2022 qb’s weren’t all that appealing either.

I know optics wise it would’ve been tough to do coming off a Super Bowl appearance, but 2020 would’ve been the year to make that trade with Tua and Herbert realistically available. And also other guys like Love and Hurts available without having to give up major draft capital.
