Well, they lost, so I'm not sure what I could say that wouldn't be considered loser talk.

But I was saying they wouldn't have enough for the super bowl when the lions continued winning games. That defense was not enough to face the remaining teams. That's just the reality of it. I would've liked them to do it, but I'm not surprised to see them lose.

The lions wouldn’t have nearly the same team if they had Stafford. They used a bunch of those picks in the trade to get key players. End of the day Goff thee picks and defense faltered. Injuries suck, but they will run it back next year and hopefully be healthy.

Like I said with the Vikings last week, them losing doesn't make them frauds. It's the fashion in which they lost. I'm a Washington fan and I fully expected them to drop a minimum of 40 on us. They're the number 1 offense in the league and a shootout was to be expected and we got that for a while but then we saw what happened. I'm not blaming their defense, it's the QB. There was a point in the game where they stopped throwing because they didn't trust Goff. The most explosive offense in the league looked incompetent. They ran through everybody through the regular season but in their most meaningful game of the season, they folded. That makes them frauds, it's the same metric by which I graded the Vikings. The Vikings have more claim to the "overachiever" title than the lions do. If I'm being honest all the guys who supposedly 'turned the corner" like Goff, Darnold, Geno, and Baker can't be trusted in playoff games. They're always gonna revert to them old selves. Lions aren't winning anything with Goff at QB.

The trick play late maybe was too cute but the execution let them down moreso than the playcalling today imo
